lots of directional air, quiet
Don't let the price stop you, this is like a LotR dwarf, small and mighty. Setup is a no brainer, just plug the include power supply in the fan female plug and to the outlet, and you are done. The controls are so easy to use, the hole top of the fan is touch sensible, really sensible. The only visible signs are the + and -, the power is just between then, and the whole border is to set the direction, angle or full rotation. One thing I liked was the continuous 360 rotation, it will be really useful when placed in the center of a gathering. Connecting to Alexa was a challenge, I will give some advise to avoid the troubled I had. Adding it to Alexa requires yo to go to the Alexa app and in devices just click +, then enter Vornado as brand and select Atom 2 is the list of available devices. here is when thing are not that strait, the "easy" setup is done by scanning the 2D barcode on the fan, for me it took a while to get it and after that it will not connect, tried twice with the same result. Then I went for the alternative way, following the instruction in the app, with the fan ON, press POWER button until the 4 white leds on the border blink, then click next and after a few seconds it connect for me and asked me to setup WiFi, and thankfully it did not have issues with my network witch have one ID for all types of WiFi. after successfully connecting Alexa you have a nice remote control for the fan, an unexpected, welcome, surprise, see picture. Very well designed device, and even better after being connected.

Solid Little Fan For Desk Or Small Spaces
For a small footprint, this fan can blow out a pretty good swath of cooling air. It's not going to take the place of your AC unit or a large floor fan, but it's a good choice for your desk, bedroom or just when you need to get some air circulating. The unit is pretty sleek and simply designed. I like that the plug/block is a separate piece, so if you have to move it around or store the unit you're not tripping over cords in the process. For a small vertical blade opening, the fan still pushes out a fairly strong breeze once you choose your oscillating speed and range. With just a swipe of your finger around the led top, you decide how wide the angle of motion will be...that's fun and kind of cool. Be aware it's super sensitive tho, so if you accidentally tap it or hit it during the day you may send it spinning in another direction. Not a big deal, but it happens. Syncing up with Alexa was the usual struggle. I got it to work, but third party equipment is what it is when you're trying to get your phone to locate the fan. Took a few tries but now it works. I've had a number of Vornado appliances over the years, so I'm sure this one will also be reliable.

Great …until it isn’t
Fan requires a bit of a learning curve. Annoying but once you figure it out it’s nice. That it until it starts clicking because it’s dusty. There’s no way to take it apart to clean and no amount wiping it down and vacuuming will make it stop. With summer approaching and perimenopause doing its thing I’m back on the hunt for a fan.

Great bed side fan (at first)
My Wife and I like having a bed side fan for a little white noise while we sleep. This fan is VERY quiet on the two lowest settings. Also, being a tower fan, the air is moved in a vertical line for better coverage when we want it blowing on us. Update: The fan began making a noise like a creak or rattle. It started being a random thing and is now constant to the point where I don't use the fan when we're sleeping. I tried tightening the bottom side screws and blowing out any dust and this was a short term fix.

Not as good as I expected
The fan works, and is Alexa enabled. It’s not a high velocity fan and you can easily get a better fan for half the price. Is it worth packing it up and returning it, not really. Am I going to buy another one, nope. I expected the fan to move more air, it is nice that you can control the oscillation up to 360 degrees and turn it on/off, change oscillation via Alexa. It your looking for something at your desk or on your nightstand your better of with a normal fan your not going to use the features that much. Maybe if you had a situation where you are in different areas of a room and didn’t want to manually adjust the fan all the time… idk

Surprisingly Good
The air flow is huge for the volume of the device and the noise it makes is minimal. I’ve not tried the Alexa integration yet and have a little trouble with the controls but that’s just me. Love the vornado.

Cool design, touch controls and a FULL 360 rotation!
This Vornado fan is so quiet on the lowest setting, If it wasn’t for the breeze, you wouldn’t even know it was raining. The jet black color is nice looking and the touch controls on the top of the fan are excellent in response. This fan rotates 360° for a whole room breeze. The white dots when you turn it on represent low, medium, and high fan setting. The blue dot, represent the degree of rotation. Once the fan is on, and your desired fan speed is selected, you tap one of the white light and a blue light selection appears. Each one of the blue lights and this is how far of a rotation the fan will go. From stationary to a full 360°! Don’t let the size of this fan for you, this fan won’t move some air! Highly recommend!

Compact desktop fan.
Inside the box you'll find the fan, a power cord w/DC brick and the instruction manual. If you aren't going to use it with Alexa then installation is just a matter of plugging it in. The plug uses a pigtail off the back of the fan, I'm assuming this is because the fan can rotate 360-degrees and that was the simplest option for manufacturing. If you want to use voice-control then you'll need to (attempt to) connect the device via the Alexa app. It took several tries before it found the device and even then it wouldn't complete setup until I rebooted the device several times. Once connected voice-controls seemed to work fine, but there are definitely a few bugs to work out regarding the setup process. It's not quite a foot and a half tall, so the fan speeds are fine for desktop/tabletop use, but don't expect this thing to move a lot of air around a large room. Considering it's designed for a desk and will likely be within arm's reach, the voice-control features aren't really necessary and probably factor into the high cost of the device.
