I ordered this to replace an older Q-See system (2 MP system) that had some 5MP cameras attached to it. I have another newer Q-see system with 5MP cameras that never worked well, and another off brand. This is the best! This system is just a step way above the old one in every way. The cameras have a wider angle to pic up and the quality is great! It is worth every penny, although I bought this on black Friday so it was about 40% off of the normal price. I bought and easily integrated 2 4MP E1 cameras, the Duo 3, and also an off brand 5MP and 2 older wifi cameras without issues. I have had issues trying to get the Q-See cameras to connect even when I connect them into the NVR, but not a big deal as this system had 8 cameras as well. The software is so easy to use in the system on both windows and on a TV screen. Just make sure you screen can handle a 4K input or you won't get the full quality of these pictures. I had to replace a HDMI cable because I could not display it high enough. Home Assistant integration is a plus. It is flawless so much in that HA will actually find and install the firmware updates directly to the cameras. You can keep the NVR on its own IP scheme and HA will still be able to see everything with the Reolink integration. The options on the cameras are super too. You can tell it to record only on people, vehicles, pets, everything, or some combination. I love the vehicle detection and person detection. Integrated with Home Assistant this allows me to run so many automations only if a vehicle or person is present! The camera two way is good as well - the speakers are really loud for the size and I like being able to talk to someone through them. The Reolink app for iOS/Apple works great as well and is super easy to use. Overall, if you want a security system with NO fees (it is stored on the HD - and I installed another 2TB HD with no issues), one with superb image quality and streaming, one you can view remotely on your phone without having to forward ports and mess with network configuration, and one that integrates seamlessly into Home Assistant easily and has full functionality then THIS is the system to get. I am already waiting for another sale to get the doorbell and another 12MP camera to add to this system to replace one of the old 5MP cameras that I have still. I love this system!

I almost cried. Very few things are ACTUALLY plug and play. This was so easy to set up and works as well or better than you’d expect. We bought this to replace an older L0rex system that was very sporadic for remote viewing. This worked immediately upon setup and with no fussiness. Used my existing POE wiring. Did not work with my old POE cameras, but it tells you that in the description. It’s so easy setting up that as I plugged in the camera while standing on the ladder , just 30 seconds later I could see it in the app. Then I could adjust the camera without getting down. It also numbers the camera sequentially so despite the port the cable was in, it’s the next camera in line. You can always reassign them but unlike my old system, camera 16 was always the 16th spot so you’d have gaps. This is logical and sequential and you don’t have to guess which cable you’re on. The 2-way voice works well and is clear. The picture quality is great as well. I haven’t tested it deeply and haven’t tasted WiFi cameras yet. Don’t have any PTZ cams. Nor have I checked the storage usage running 8 cams at full res with audio, but so far the system is perfect. I’m picky, and I can’t think of anything I’d improve yet. Will add a few WiFi cameras to avoid running more cat5 soon.

This is an outstanding system. Simple install - just run ethernet cable and the system will automatically recognize the cameras the moment you plug them in. 12MB video quality is outstanding, particularly when viewed on a 4K monitor. Very intuitive interface such that I found myself customizing the system without having to refer to a manual. I especially like the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the camera alert system, as well as having the motion sensitive flood lighting and alarm - which you can customize to only go off on certain cameras and at certain times of the day. The wired mouse that comes with the system is not the highest quality, but I simply replaced it with a wireless PC mouse I had sitting around the house and it works flawlessly. The phone app works well and I had no difficulty setting it up or pairing it with the system. It allows me to view the video streams remotely, or for that matter, listen or speak to someone via the cameras. An all-around outstanding product that doesn't require a paid subscription. For advanced security use, you can save your own incident videos to your own server storage / cloud space for an added layer of protection. I highly recommend this system!

I absolutely love this new security camera system! I installed using TrueCable CAT6A cabling, the wiring is very stiff so if you use this I recommend you get one of the wire straighteners off here as well. The image quality at 12MP is incredible. If you really want to see the true clarity make sure you are using a 4K monitor or TV. Since I wanted to locate the NVR in a different location than my incoming camera feeds, I installed a ReoLink 8 port PoE switch for the cameras to connect to then the NVR connects to the PoE Switch, no cameras directly connect to the NVR this way so I only needed one cable running to the NVR location. Installation and setup was easy, camera auto connected. A few simple configurations for sensitivity and alarms and it’s good to go. TrueCable CAT6A Cabling: Using TrueCable CAT6A cabling is a smart choice. CAT6A cables offer high-speed data transmission and are suitable for both large corporations and homeowners. They support speeds up to 10 Gigabit and have a bandwidth of up to 750 MHzAd1. The stiffness of the wiring can be a challenge, but it’s great that you recommend using wire straighteners to manage it effectively. Image Quality and Resolution: The 12MP image quality is impressive! Higher resolution allows for clearer details, especially when monitoring areas with critical security needs. You’re absolutely right about using a 4K monitor or TV to fully appreciate the clarity. The increased pixel density enhances visibility. NVR Placement and ReoLink 8-Port PoE Switch: Locating the NVR separately from the camera feeds is a strategic move. It provides flexibility and ensures optimal placement. The ReoLink 8-port PoE switch is an excellent addition. It simplifies cable management and allows all cameras to connect to a central point. Plus, it eliminates the need for direct camera-NVR connections. With this setup, you only need one cable running to the NVR location, streamlining installation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Security Camera System I've Ever Owned! I recently upgraded to the Reolink RLK16-1200B8-A 12MP PoE Security Camera System, and I am beyond impressed. I purchased this to replace a different home camera system that just wasn’t meeting my expectations—and wow, the difference is night and day! The picture clarity on these 12MP cameras is absolutely stunning crystal clear during the day and surprisingly sharp at night thanks to the color night vision and built-in spotlights. You can clearly see faces, license plates, and fine details that my old system couldn’t begin to pick up. The person, vehicle, and pet detection features are a game changer. I love that I get smart alerts tailored to real motion, not just leaves blowing in the wind. And the two-way audio works incredibly well being able to speak directly through the cameras adds an extra layer of convenience and security. Playback and video review is super easy with the NVR system and included 4TB hard drive. Whether I’m viewing recordings or taking snapshots, the interface is intuitive and fast. I was up and running in no time, and the app makes remote viewing seamless. Other features I really appreciate: Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) setup clean, simple, and reliable. 16-channel NVR allows plenty of room to expand if I ever want to add more cameras. Sturdy build quality these cameras feel like professional-grade equipment built to last. Honestly, I wish I had found this system years ago. It’s the most complete, intelligent, and user-friendly camera system I’ve ever used, and I’ve tested a few. I highly recommend this to anyone serious about protecting their home or property. I have a few solar powered wireless cameras from Reolink in areas I can't get cabling to, and was always happy with them. So when I needed to replace my old Defender camera system in a difference office I went with Reolink. Installation was quick and easy, and setting up the NVR and configuring the cameras etc. was quick and simple. I interact with my NVR mostly through the Desktop Client which is not badly laid out and with a little practice is pretty easy to use. But, and it's a big BUT, there are some bugs I'm finding after using it a few weeks now. Firstly, I cannot get the FTP backup feature working. I have been dealing with Reolink support on it for over a week now and there is still no solution. Simply put, the NVR refuses to follow the full directory address to the FTP location, and keeps trying to create the backups in the root directory. Because my backup is on a NAS RAID system the NAS won't allow it. However, if I use the full and correct location through Filezilla it works without an issue so I know the FTP server and the user information are all correct and work. So I have had to enable local save on the NVR and have a PC permanently running simply to handle that. It is by no means ideal but for the time it's all I can do. Secondly, the live view has gotten very jerky. It used to be nice and smooth running at clear setting. But within the last week or so it has gotten very jerky, to the point where it's useless even looking at it. Even trying to view the playback on the NVR can be quite jerky. But the saved files I get from the local save are perfect, clear, and nice and smooth. But not being able to look at a decent live feed or even the saved videos on the NVR is quite annoying. All in all it's a nice system, but with these issues I'd say it's just OK. I wouldn't get another one in the future unless the issues I currently face can be resolved with the system I have.

Easy plug and play set up. Very good picture quality even at night. Color night vision is nice but I don't mind monochrome for several of my cameras where I would prefer the spot lights not to come on and it was simple to turn down the sensors for those cameras. Menu is basic and easy to use. I have a mixture of cameras with different resolutions and the all have good quality. 12MP, 8MP and 5MP currently with a 4K monitor. Easy to connect with the mobile app as well. The AI motion sensors for human, vehicle and animals take a bit of configuring to get them to work the way you want them to. Over all I would recommend this system to friends.

The cameras and DVR are really quite nice. Their software makes the cameras and DVR virtually useless. We had breakins in my neighborhood. The police came by to see if I can provide video. I cannot login to my system and their password recovery process is an absolute joke. In order to reset the password, I had to send the request to a different e-mail that was not part of my profile. Think about that. Then, it sent me this code to enter. I entered it, but then had to validate it on the app, which required a code that I needed to login to the app to get. Do yourself a favor, save money and time by going wirh another company. I am literally going to try throw mine out.

Ease of setup and the fact that 100-ft Poe cables are included for each camera was a mind blower. Can absolutely recommend these. The application for PC and phone works perfectly without granting the NVR. Any access to the cloud which is exactly what I was looking for. I just installed these but I will try to remember to update in 6 months. As of right now this is a solid five-star purchase.

Sadly I have been SCAMMED by REOLINK I ordered the order and for the first couple of months it was running fine in tell a storm came and the NVR has dead on me. I have reached to Reolink for my warranty and the accepted my warranty and sent me a link to order the NVR from and the will pay me back my warranty, but sadly the link that they sent me was the same product buy different sellers and I have told the, but the told me that the link was 100% there's I proceed now 1 month later they are denying the situation and not really helping me with my warranty.

Packing was perfect , easiest camera system that I ever hooked up ! Plug and play , hooked it up to my phone like nothing ! Amazing system you won’t be disappointed !!
