Solid trousers, extremely tough, well fitting and utilitarian
Brought for work extremely good piece of kit, ripstop material that has a teflon water resistant coating, parts of the waist are elasticated and lots of useful pockets (especially if you work in factory's/warehouses and those kind of jobs) they're also very good fitting and quite cool, probably would be good for a hike in them too.

Good Kit
I have been wearing 5.11 trousers for a number of years. I like the cargo style as I carry a lot of stuff in my pockets and plenty of pockets mean the kit can be spread across more pockets leading to no unsightly bulges. I have these trousers made in two different materials: Teclite and cotton. Teclite is better for me as the rain tends to run off them even after 20 plus washes, so it must be something about the material rather than a coating, which usually are washed out within a few washes. The other attraction is that these trousers are so tough. They will last for years and still look good. This is my 6th pair and I have a 7th on order, which speaks volumes. They also come in a wide range of colours, hence why I am moving away from black to lighter shades.

New improved taclights .. Very happy ;)
I've had taclite pro for years as I work in the Private Security business.. This new design is even better than before.. There are enough pockets without going over the top.. The durability is second to non and very light weight.. The size did come up a little bigger than I'd have liked I've had 42" waist and leg before for just a little added movement in them and found the seat was a little bigger than I expected so order to exact size specs.. I'll definitely be buying these again.. Very smart durable and suits my every need for a good all round year trouser.. Ideal for hot environments.

Perfect for security work
Way better than the rubbish combats I was given at work, plenty of pockets and very comfortable. My only gripe is that they're a bit baggier than I'd have liked. They hold up well in the outdoors too and have plenty of room for all your gear. The back pockets will comfortably fit a radio , I can fit a torch and my Spyderco in the knife pocket and a leatherman in the mobile phone pocket. Great overall

Extremely reliable
My ONLY negative point about these pants is more of a personal problem that I have with all pants. I have short but big legs, so around the thigh and rear area, pants are always tight on me. I did expect them to provide a bit more room in that regard, but maybe my huge butt is the problem, not the pants. Other than that, the quality is amazing. I've owned a lot of tactical clothing over the years and the material feels absolutely solid. I put them to the test every single day and they're showing no signs of failing on me, even with my demanding junk in the trunk. So for the price, I can't imagine you'd be disappointed.

Excellent trousers!
I purchased three pairs of these 15 months ago, and have worn them in 'wear and wash' rotation every single day since. They are extremely comfortable, they wash well and are very tough. They are made to last. My one slight issue is that the pocket lining material isn't as tough as the rest of the trousers and carrying keys or loose change will wear them out after some time. Other than that, they are perfect. I will definitely be getting more.

Best combats ever!
I've had cotton 5.11s for years and they are still going strong (although somewhat faded). I'd bought another brand poly/cotton combats for hiking and was very pleased with them and wanted another pair or two, and thought I'd give this version of my cotton 5.11s a whirl. These are really great. Perfect for hot days and rainy days, as they are both 'lite' and dry quickly. With leggings underneath they make excellent winter hiking trousers. There is a good range of pockets. The phone pocket is much bigger now than it used to be, but is probably a little behind size wise for most smartphones these days, but there are plenty of other places to put a phone. They are comfortable, and if anything like their cotton cousins, will be very durable. Long may they continue to be made.

good but over priced
they are well designed, the backward facing pockets and sewn in D ring I particularly like. But there was a slight shine finish to them I didn't expect and didn't like. Like a satin finish not matt. Also on me, the crotch was a little low. Ive since found Helikon SFU trousers that in my opinion are just as good but only 30 quid. These I think are overpriced.
