Dear Customer,
Thank you for waiting. It is “Without Toner”, as you are just purchasing the Multifunction printer, that does come with 4 starter toner cartridges (1 of each CMYK) that are supplied in the box.  (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow): 1,000 print capacity and Black: 1,500 print capacity. The other purchasing options are to purchase the device with additional Toner Bundles – which will get a discount on the total price if you choose one of these options. The device is Brand New however, we currently have a supply constraint on this popular model, which is why there is no price showing on either the Amazon or Xerox store.  Xerox do have the N version, but this does not have WiFi, and does not auto-duplex.

does the scanner work well with Mac OS Sierra

Yes it does under Mac OS Sierra. However scanning is less well supported under Mac OS High Sierra. Under this release, you can scan to Mac email and to USB and then transfer files to the Mac. However the scan to FTP functionality, whereby you can scan directly from the Xerox to a Mac folder or desktop, and which worked under Mac OS Sierra was disabled by Apple in the Mac OS High Sierra release. As I say, It worked perfectly under Mac OS Sierra but I believe Apple blocked FTP as the FTP protocol is now old and presents potential security issues compared to modern, more up to date security protocols. Now, the app MS Server from Apple still retains FTP functionality, but I have not yet tried using this route as a workaround as I can get scan functionality via email and USB. Other than that, I’m happy with the Xerox.
