Britannia Oven Cooker 4 Sided Door Seal Gasket & Retainer Clips (60cm), Black, Britannia A09469

Item ordered on the 7th and arrived well packaged on the 9th. Seal fitted perfectly and was easy to put on. The label on the outer packaging states that this is a genuine item from Britannia and sold through a 3rd party. I previously purchased a cheaper generic seal which was hard to fit and was not of the same quality as this item. The seal lasted for about 3 months before splitting, a case of " buy cheap, buy twice". Have confidence when purchasing this item, fast, secure postage and genuine high quality build. Maybe worth checking that it is suitable for your model. I used the Amazon question/answers and was very suprised by the swiftness and the amount of responses recieved. Very pleased with my purchase and i'm voting 5 stars for the product and services.

Arrived quickly & was relatively easy to fiy after door removal. Heat leakage problem solved. Very happy!

This fitted my oven but looked very damaged at the site of insertion of all the metal anchors with oven silicone hoping to hold it together. I managed to fit it without damaging it but after two uses of the oven it snapped at a corner. Very disappointing. Really hoped it would last to Christmas at least!!

If it fits and works it must be 5* ? So perfect fit for my Britannia range main oven including the 6 pre fitted pins to go in the slots in the oven. We can now use the main oven again. Was a bit worried that at this price (considerably cheaper than Britannia's website) it may be an inferior part. If so, I have not noticed.

I've bought 2 of these seals through Amazon in the last year and a half. The first lasted just over a year - probably just about acceptable. The second bought in October has just broken, i.e. come apart at an odd position. It wasn't stuck to the glass door and we haven't used any aggressive cleaning agents. Sad but this appears to be an inferior product and I'm going to have look elsewhere for a replacement.

So easy to fit and no problems. We had bought a "cheaper version" which we ended up putting in the bin!

There has to be a better of designing door seals. They are glued together and hooks puncture the material to grip hot metal. I keep a spare because we have two large ovens and they certainly don’t always last a year.

There’s are cheap and arrive quickly. The Brittania cooker service charge £40 and take days to get there. These are fatter and can stop the oven reaching its temperature and break easier. So it’s a toss up which you choose and what type of oven. Finally I have learnt to wipe the glass door while hot to take off any grease
