Wood you believe it!
WOW! This leather balm is the best I have ever used. It is perfect for my saddlery, I have been using it for years, and have also used it on just about every kind of leather I have. I know that this may seem a daft way to use it, but I have even tried it on my natural pine window sills. I have been trying different wood cleaners/polishes and so forth, but they looked just as dull as they were before. So I thought.....I'll try the leather balm. (Wood and leather seem similar to me in some ways). Well, the wood looks bright and full of 'depth' now, as the wax made the wood a much richer colour and it has stayed that way. Instead of being pale and washed out looking, it now looks like different wood, a lovely rich golden colour. Even my husband noticed. And I'm sure that it is just as good for wood as it is for leather. I guess it's the wax.

Great
Really good product,,easiest to apply by hand as helps its to melt, did three pairs of work boots, leather hat and pair of leather knee boots,,soaks in well but wife didn't like the smell, but I actually don't mind it, kind of like beeswax. Only used about a fifth of the tub doing all those items so good value!!

Fantastic Leather Treatment
I have been using this product for a while, and it is excellent at reviving and maintaining all manner of leather goods. Not coloured, so will maintain the original look of your leather. Very happy, and this is a replacement purchase as I had run out.

Marvellous stuff
I bought this to treat the rather stiff leather of an army surplus jerkin. The beneficial effects were almost instant, the balm went on evenly and smoothly and buffed up to a lovely sheen. The jerkin is more supple and comfortable after only one application. It smells very nice as well. It seems quite economical to use and there is plenty of product left for many future treatments.

The best
I got a leather sofa since nearly 30 years. Dogs lounged on it. Cats extended their paws. Toddlers scratched it, teenagers spilled on it. You would not believe it looking at it. The design might not be the newest, but the leather is healthy, shiny and has astonishing few notable blemishes

I have been using this brand for a few years. It’s perfect for thick leather saddlebags, leather motorcycle jackets, chaps, and other leather items. A little goes a long way. Revives old dried out leather.

I love this stuff, been using it for decades on my horse tack and leather boots. No gimmicks, no bizarre edible ingredients, no suave label, just a great, proven product that gives consistent high-quality results. It conditions and absorbs well without leaving a residue or film. The smell is light and pleasant. After using it leather feels nourished without being mealy, weak, oily, or wet even if you over-apply it. It doesn't excessively darken leather and won't discolor leather if the application isn't perfectly even. It's ideal for thick leather but fine for thin leather if you use a light coat, and will last a long time. Like most conditioners, don't use it on suede or rough-out. It seems like only horse-people know about this stuff, which is surprising because I see more and more "saddle" products being used on all types of other leather goods, and this works better than 95% of them - trust me, I've tried them all before coming back to this old standby. Maybe people don't use it because it's not made with honey or milk or guava fruit or dragonfly farts, and doesn't have a fancy label? (The label is so very..... GERMAN isn't it? lol) Though I do love to follow conditioning with a beeswax protectant, like Obenhaufs which is an excellent product. I apply this stuff with my hands, but a sponge or a rag is fine. It's not so hard or thick you need your hands to melt it first, but it'll absorb a little better/faster and you'll lose a lot of product to rags and sponges which soak up the conditioner. For extremely dry leather (especially old saddle flaps), apply a generous coat and then gently bend/roll the leather back and forth, in and out - without forcing the leather too much (I cracked a brittle saddle-flap that way once). That'll separates the fibers and pull the conditioner in. Keep applying and flexing until you have the suppleness you want, then apply a good coat and let it sit overnight. Wipe off any excess the next day and let it sit a few more hours, there'll be no film or residue. I've made dry, brittle, cardboard-like leather supple and new-looking with that method. Also works for breaking in a new saddle fast, if you prefer not to ride in a stiff, slick saddle until it decides to soften up, if it ever does. Absolutely love this stuff, it's a classic and far superior to most of what's out there these days.

Used it to rejuvenate some scratched, scuffed and worn leather furniture. Doesn't make it look new, but it does look much better and the leather feels better. Smells like beeswax and lanolin, goes on a bit like a more easily melted shoe polish. May darken the leather a little, but our leather was lighter due to scuffs and being dried out, so it worked out well.
