I was a little concerned that this protector would affect touch screen sensitivity....it doesn't!! Brilliant protector. I like the matte finish and it'll do it's job well. It comes with 2 protectors and cleaning kits, including a cloth covered, cardboard squeegee that I really didn't need to use. Crucially, come with a fitting frame. This yellow attachment fits over the front. I fitted this, cleaned the screen, removed the screen protector tab which reveals the sticky side and dropped it gently into the fitting frame. It then slowly dropped into place from left to right with ZERO air bubbles or impurities. 30 seconds, done. It's a nice thick, tempered glass sheet so it feels durable and all the glare has gone. I think this will also probably be very scratchy resistant. Now fitted. I really am glad I did.

This screen protector is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add anti-glare to their Steam Deck. I upgraded to the OLED Steam Deck late last year, and while I would have loved to have gone all out with the 1TB version for its anti-glare screen, I didn't really see the benefit of spending that much more for that feature alone (256GB is plenty of SSD storage for my main games, with a 512GB MicroSD card taking care of my emulator games). This £15 screen protector gives me the exact feature I want without splashing the cash. It's obviously not as refined as Valve's solution, which uses special etching on the screen's surface, but it still does what it says on the tin. The screen protector is a decent thickness, so I feel confident in its ability to perform its main function, and it also does a semi-decent job of keeping fingerprints at bay (although it does not have any oleophobic coating, so it's not designed for this). One of the best things about this screen protector though is the alignment guide, which is included in the package and clips to your Steam Deck so that you can apply the screen protector without worrying about it being off-centre or tilted in any way. It's worth mentioning one minor consequence of having this screen protector installed, however. While it diffuses the light hitting the screen (which is how the anti-glare works), it also diffuses the light coming out of the screen, albeit only slightly. The result of this is very subtle blooming around brighter parts of the screen - this is especially noticeable on white text on black backgrounds, particularly on the OLED, but is also only really noticeable in a dark room (and also not noticeable at all during normal gameplay with complex scenes). I personally don't notice this enough for it to be a problem, but it certainly does exist, so while I don't mind it at all it might be something you want to consider if you're absolutely set on having the sharpest display experience. Overall, it does the job of protecting the screen and reducing light reflections very well, and coupled with the incredibly easy installation process, I don't think you can go wrong.

Actually a great product. Really impressed. (SKIP TO THE CONCLUSION FOR SHORT ANSWER). Works just like it should. Which I bought both the anti glare and the HD. To see the difference myself. So it’s not what I expected. So I have the steam deck OLD 512. So it’s a glossy screen. It’s sharp the colours pop in the eyes. Leaving a such a beautiful crisp image. So the HD s McReynolds protector is the same sharp image. If mirrored light is an issue then this is a mirror. So you want to play it in the car or in bight rooms where lights or the sun tends to rebound then that mirror effect will be strong. The HD Glossy is best played in low light if not dark room settings to get that full crisp picture. The pixels are sharp and the colour mesmerising. So the anti glare Scree ln protector and the unexpected amazingness of this product. I wasn’t expecting it to be the 1Tb model of etched glass. This however it is on point. Light rooms, bright rooms, not an issue it defuses light perfectly. It’s beautiful and still crisp and clear. It leaves practically no mirror finish. Like a Matt look and in my eyes still super beautiful. Easy to read text and still see that beautiful colour. NOW THE CONTROVERSY Q: Is HD better for sharpness of pixels ? A: YES by OCD standards it sharper the colours pop. When I say ever so slightly. I mean ever so slightly. If gloss give’s you 100% purity. Then anti Glare is 98% purity. If you are obsessed about having that pure sharp imagine no matter what. Then this is a HD glossy with best results dark room gameplay. However the anti glare was my choice. What it adds is what I would call a soft look. I’m looking for the best possible gameplay experience anywhere. The micro Difference in sharpness and colour pop. Is a micro difference. You would notice it, if two decks were side by side but other than that it’s gorgeous effective and efficient. CONCLUSION: The choice you must make between these two screen protectors depends on you. 100% clarity in colours and sharpness but a mirror effect needing darkened rooms to get the most out of it. Or 98% clarity in colour and sharpness but can take it anywhere with little impact to Vision clarity. INSTALLATION/TIPS As for installing the screen protectors, word of advice. If you have dry hands. Wash them first. As the screen protectors as the peel is removed to lay it down has a slight static pull effect like a magnetic. It will basically attract particles, the moment you remove that plastic to lay it down. This includes tiny skin cells. Place it in a room that is vacuumed often and dusted. For less air partials. ( don’t vacuum before hand as more disturbed particles will be in the air).

It’s a really good screen protector and it comes with 2 but there’s a lot of bubbles when I did it the first time. So I removed it and did it again and it was fine. I believe there must of being some user error by me. The protector is perfect size and shape and feels really smooth and easy to wipe clean not dust not finger prints and the glare is majorly reduced and I dropped the steam deck once from sofa height and the screen was very durable and didn’t damage anything

First time review on amazon, this has to be the worst screen protection ive ever ordered, the plastic screen guide doesn't line the screen protection up correctly, so that voided one of the protectors, when putting the second one on, it was chipped in the corner. For the cost its a total rip off

Does exactly what it says on the box, and it does it really well. It is super easy to install with the provided template and it fits the Steam Deck screen perfectly. There is 2 in the box which is nice just in case you don’t get the first one on perfectly, and if you dont get the first one on perfectly then you have a spare. The Anti-Glare coating is great at removing reflections which is exactly what I wanted, but naturally there are some drawbacks to mention which is the same with any Anti-Glare or “etched” glass. 1. The screen does become a little less vibrant and a little less sharp. 2. There is a slight “rainbow” or “glitter” effect espeically on brighter white backgrounds. This product does a very good job at minimising these issues and personally the positives out way the minor negatives for my situation. My advise would be: If your using your Steam Deck in bad lighting and reflections are an issue then this product is perfect and you won’t be disappointed. If you don’t need to manage your lighting or reflections then get the glass screen protector instead as this will not impact the colours or sharpness of your screen.

First of all, the clip on border to ensure correct screen protector placement is a game changer! And I don’t mean that to sound too cliche. It fit the steam deck perfectly snug, and provided the ideal frame for the protector to fit. This is the first time I have ever put on a screen protector correctly and precisely first time. Included the usual screen cleaning wet and dry wipes and even a wedges block to smooth out any bubbles (which I never had to use, again a first for me!) It was so simple and easy to use, yea it’s a little bit more money but it’s worth it just to get the perfect fit first time and I now have the second panel to keep as a spare just incase. Glare was very much reduced making it easier to play in the limited British sun. I can’t comment on the protection and have no plans to drop the device to test this out. Superb fit, superb quality, screeen reacts as if the protecter wasn’t on meaning it’s stuck in place just right!! I can’t recommend this peace of mind piece enough, now if only I can find a similar clip and protect way for my iPhone I’d save a lot of money and time

Having owned many JSAUX braided cables, I was happy to see a familiar name when shopping for a screen protector. JSAUX has another winner here with their screen protector. The installation tools included are perfect - alcohol wipes, cloth wipes, dust sticker, and most importantly, the alignment tool! Included is a plastic frame that clips onto the deck and forces the protector to sit exactly where you want it, removing the alignment guesswork. If you follow the instructions. it's not too difficult to get a bubble-free installation. It does seem to dampen the touch sensitively slightly but not enough to be an issue. It covers the entire screen and is thin enough not to form an obtrusive edge. The anti-glare edition seems to help - if you look closely, the protector is ever so slightly 'frosted' or opaque, like a privacy window, but only slightly. so. This doesn't entirely eliminate glare, but it does a great job at softening the glare and removing the edges from the reflection in the glare so the glare doesn't catch your eye nearly as much.

Great product for steam deck. Love the quality and ease of applying the screen protector. The guide is so well made that it fits the screen protector perfectly without any deviations from actual screen. The quality of the screen protector is also very good and does remove the glossy glare almost by 90-95%.
