KA Tanking Slurry 25Kg Grey

Easy to mix and apply,even a thin two layer application will completely hold back persistent / continuous penetrating damp .Two thick coats( brush applied - I use a plastic brush designed for applying shed/ fence treatment,cheap and cheerful) will stop running and standing water coming through. This.is an industrial product, the finish coat is not intended to look pretty, any competent diyer can apply it but a couple of hours working with the stuff and your arm feels like it’s about to fall off! Like all cement products drying time depends on ambient temperature and background moisture, although you have plenty of working time before it starts to go off it is important to mix it up according to the makers instructions(I’ve been in construction for over 50 years and the old adage applies now as then – when all else fails read instructions!) too much water and the surface will crack on drying, too little water and it won’t come off the brush,won’t stick to the wall and will leave gaps for water to rush through. If you leave a gap water will find its way through and as was all waterproofing products if you can find that and stop the water at source so much the better. if your cellar was dry before then you don’t need this stuff you need to find what has changed! Did the job, do not mix too much at a time, and be speedy getting it brushed on the surface. My 1st batch started to cure quicker than I expected

Easy to mix & apply. The buckets they come in are heavy. I had them for a few weeks before I used them. Then I noticed one of the buckets had a large crack in the bottom, which left dust all over the living room, when I took it outside to mix it! I should have noticed on delivery as there was slurry mix in my entry too. But I thought it was off the top of one of the containers. Shame really Otherwise it would of got 5 stars. It takes a while to dry , I applied it 7 days ago & it’s still patchy . Besides that it’s decent if you mix it right & it applies well to the walls, I used bonding before applying.

At last - A flood free garage. After years of garage flooding through a side wall abutted by a neighbours new patio this tanking has cured the problem. We had previously got expert builders in who advised putting in Arco drains along the patio side of the wall. Our neighbours agreed to this but sadly the following autumn it became clear it failed (at great expense). I decided to have a go with KA tanking so waited for a fair forecast of no rain to enable me to empty the affected half of the double garage into a gazebo in the drive. Gave the wall a good wash down and soaking and actually put on 3 coats of taking up to a 1metre height. Took nearly 2 weeks to completely dry out but worth the weight. Not a single drop of rain water has come in despite a few deluges since. Just occasion drop of condensation which you would have to expect in a cold unheated garage. So easy to use and simple to apply. But do follow instructions and watch a couple of u-tube videos. I used the grey/brown colour as it seemed better suited to the garage but the white looked very good on film if tanking and internal room in the house.

This tanking slurry is great for damp areas and does the job perfect, easy to use as instructions are on the bucket. Price wise Amazon was the cheapest.
