Machine Dye 350g 12 Velvet Black

I've used this dye three times - to dye faded grey jeans to blue, and to dye clothes back to black. You need to read the directions and have enough dye to dye the amount of clothes. The first time, I didn't order enough dye, so the 2nd & 3rd times I bought 3 blue pods to dye 2 pairs of jeans, and 5 pods to dye 2 pairs of black jeans & a shirt. I have a front loading washing machine. I followed the instructions as given, washing the clothes first. Because I had multiple pods, I opened up the pods & poured the contents of the pods directly in the machine (this is what the instructions say). I used gloves the entire time as the dyes will stain your hands. I ran 4 loads total. To get the dyes out of the washing machine, I used bleach in the last cycle I ran. I also had to wipe down the washing machine with paper towels that had bleach on them. The dye job was perfect and I'm buying more black dye now for another set of clothes. YES buy this if you have a front loading machine.

Took forever to arrive. Used it on some long underwear. I was bad... I took the clothes to a laundry mat. When the washer started the black powder started flying everywhere including past the door of the washer. Then the powder got wet. The washer top was covered in black dye. I am looking this way and that for 25 minutes while the blackened washer swished the dye everywhere including the outside of the washer. When it finished I grabbed my clothes and ran for the door forget staying for the dryer. I am happy I did not use this on my own washer. The inside of the washer and door was DYED BLACK. My clothes came out PINK! Pink long underwear that looked like they were drug through streaky black grease. WOW! Just WOW! Turned into an adventure but the results were horrible.

Worked like a charm! I had ordered this dress and it was white. I thought I could keep it clean and proceeded to stain it with everything under the sun. I only used half the container since I was only dyeing one item and kept it in a spare bin with hot water. I saturated the dress in the water then dumped half the container in and let it sit for about an hour. Followed the instructions on the package for dying, washing and cleaning then dried. The dress looks great and the washer has had no issues! Will definitely repurchase.

I’m not sure what these are meant to do maybe just revive worn out black clothing but I bought it because I’m a hairdresser and I have a lot of bleach stains on my black clothes and I hoped this would cover them but it didn’t do that I don’t really know what it did, maybe In a less severe situation they would be good

I would give this product five stars because it is a far superior product in ease and clean-up than that of its competitors. The Dylon Dye has restored my favourite clothes and I will buy more. I do need to plan ahead because the product takes weeks to ship but I will buy again.

good item everything is perfect.

I was really bummed when this didn't work because I used the red one before and it was subtle, but looked great. .. yeah this didn't do anything. I used 2 and emptied them in the drum then added a clean, damp linen sheet. The sheet was already grey. No difference at all. Idk maybe I needed more? It also took a while to arrive in the mail. I've never written a review but this was just a waste of money.

I followed the instructions and watched YouTube videos but the product didn't dye my item. I had high hopes for this product and I saddened it did not work like I hoped.

Did the job well

Easy - less hassle than it used to be! No salt, no mess, no fuss. Pop in clothes (no more than 600g of fabric per pod) and the pod and run a 40 degree cycle. True black - no issues at all. I used 2 pods for 3 separate pieces across 2 loads. All came out perfectly.
