I recommend this, if you're sure the original series is what you want.
On Win.7, I run this in a virtual machine on Win.XP. It runs perfectly, but since having played TS2 and 4, it just isn't as good, or, sadly, quite as good as I remember. Nevertheless, I'm happy to own it again.

Doesn’t work
Installed onto my laptop and then I click to play and it doesn’t work.. no wonder it was cheap

Love this game. I'm so obsessed with it. Ive got all the expansion packs also i have sims 2 and sims 3. But i love sims 1 the most, don't know why lol.

A lot of problems with this. Necessary code for installation wasn't there. Contacted seller to no reply. Had to go onto Internet to find help. Still didn't work.
