Review: This really does work. - I had an oil leak on my VW T4 rocker cover, even though the rubber gasket was new. So off it came and after cleaning both the cover and gasket with petrol and letting it evaporate I smeared a thin coat of Hylomar on all surfaces like the tube says and left it for 10 minutes before assembling. Then nipped the three nuts up gently that hold the cover on and left it a day before starting the engine. After running the engine for about 20 minutes there was no signs of an oil leak anywhere. I recommend Hylomar to be used with any gaskets.

**Q: Would this be suitable for applying to an oil sump plug on a car engine?**
A: Hi. This is a non setting gasket cement. A new washer with the sump plug is best option, if plug is a taper thread then Hylomar is fine. It  is most useful when used with engine gaskets. (Sump, cam cover etc) , it does not clog oil pump pickup filter as some of the gasket cements can do. Have seen engine oil supply stopped where this has occurred. Regards.

**Q: Would this work to seal a power steering oil resevior to the pump? (Seat Ibiza 2010)**
A: If there is an O ring or a gasket, Blue Hylomar will help seal,  if there is neither then use high grade silicone.
