Merrell Men's Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boot

I loved these so much I bought another pair in a different color. I had my misigivings about the lacing systems being these sitched fabric hooks, but, so far, the boots seem to be holding up well. Fitment: As someone who struggles with footwear due to the shape and wideness of my feet, these boots are a solid win in my book. I was able to order them in my actual size, without having to go up. One minor issue: The model for these boots was likely a wide foot with a higher arch. I did find them to be a little too spacious, as I have lower arches, but, I solved this problem with some cheap Dr. Scholl's inserts. What (minor) slippage I had was resolved. Weight: They don't weigh anything. Lacing: The laces seem to be good quality - a little long, however. Traction: No issues what so ever on the trail. I am confident when walking over smooth or wet rocks. Cushion: I have some bone spurs on my heels and these boots provided adequate cushioning on their own so I don't have any serious issues there. Waterproofing: I don't expect any lowcut to be waterproof beyond light rain. They dry very quickly if you're wearing the appropriate socks. Overall: These are really solid boots. I am overally really satisfied with their construction and design. They are super comfortable and feel durable.

I used these boots to hike El Capitan & Eagles point Yosemite. It was a total of 18 miles(5,800 ft of elevation gain) that I did this day on these boots that were brand new and not broken in yet. Even tho they were not broken in they did a great job and were not uncomfortable or painful. Conditions were cold but mostly dry. It had rained maybe 4 days prior and there was no water that got into the boot or my socks. My feet were warm and dry through out the day. The slip resistance is really good even with mud. I will say that the only thing you should know about these before buying them is that they run a bit bigger than they say. I bought a size 10 initially but a 9.5 fit me better. Keep that in mind if you are going to be ordering these. I liked these so much that I will be buying a pair for my wife as well.

As with all Merrell shoes I have used these are perfect for hiking or daily use. Merrell's will last much longer then the average set of hiking shoes and will be not cause pain during long hikes. If you have wide feet these shoes will be perfect and not cause your toes to feel cramped.

A good product, comfortable and fits well right out of the box. Sufficient room in the toe box, sturdy, nice color, and a decent weight e.g. not too heavy or light, and built well for uneven terrain.

These boots are comfortable and well made. I like these better than my Merrill low cuts. Size is right on. I wear 10.5 u.s. and bought 10.5 u.s. couldn’t be better. Wear them all day, everyday since I purchased them and no fatigue. I prob won’t wear them in the Florida hot months nor can I comment on how they would hold up as a work boot but for hiking and general wear they’re great. Love the color. Grey with a tad of blue laced in there. Look great with jeans.

I bought 2 pairs of these in black two years ago. I love these boots, I'm still on my second pair and they are in good shape. I wear these 9.5-12 hours -----5-6 days a week they are plenty rugged for what I'm doing the tread is still good even after over a year of heavy use. My size is 12.5 which is hard to find and they fit perfectly. I would buy 20 pairs of these so I have them for the rest of my career if I had the money. They are very light weight too. Perfect boots. I always wear cotton socks and dry them out over night if they get wet and they stay very clean and don't smell. Just very good boots I can't say it enough. Good water resistance though this is not the waterproof model, excellent ankle support, and very good grip. Last thing I'll say is they are very good looking boots as well.

These are my 2nd pair , and I will buy more in the future. Shoes are durable , comfortable , and lightweight. They offer great support as well.
