When the light went out for good on my Rotel two channel stereo amplifier I was given a Pioneer VSX-C402 AV Receiver that my father no longer wanted as a substitute until I could buy something better, however, when listening to CD's through the Pioneer I was quite surprised just how good it sounded through two channels, so decided to keep it as my permanent amp and save money in the process during these hard pressed times, as I was needing to shell out between £300-350 for a new stereo amp. There was one problem though, and that was the Pioneer AV amp nor my Rega Planer 2 has a phono stage so I couldn't play my vinyl, so purchased the Prozor Phono Preamp to enable that to happen. This is a great piece of kit for the cash outlay in terms of build with it's all metal case construction combined with the fact that it's totally silent in operation and I crank it over half way along with my amp. Honestly, when connected between my Rega Planer 2, Pioneer amp driving Wharfdale Diamond 9.0s it sounds as good as my defunct Rotel: I can't hear a noticeable difference in sound quality and trust me when I say that Sammy Hagar, Ted Nugent and Gary Moore have never sounded so good through my current system!!!

It seems like a very good device. It claims 60dB of gain (which is much better than many others which only achieve 40dB). Well designed and quickly delivered Sadly, it seems 60dB is still not enough for my Onkyo CD input (the forums suggest I may need some 76dB for my magnetic cartridge - and as far as I can see, no one makes an RIAA preamp with this level of gain - perhaps a gap in the market here)! But as far as I can tell, a good product at a good price.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Price Volume control: works superbly Functionality: works as it should Ease of setup: super simple Sound quality: superb sound. Running Technics 1210 into the preamp into Devine audio eq mixer and powered speakers. The sound is superior to my old preamp that cost much more then this. Clarity: Crystal clear

I was not sure if I this would suit my requirements and tried to cancel. But glad I was too late. After I had set it up I was very happy with how it fitted in with my system. It is connected to my Sansui SR-525 turntable which has a moving magnet Ortofon pro cartridge/stylus, which is connected to a Skandyna Microsub 2.1 my brother gave me. I use this instead of my Sansui AU-5900 which although it would work needs serviced. The jack on the front is a bonus as it gives me more options too. It is small which is good as there is space on the table for it.

Poor! Left channel not working, and unit buzzing despite correct ground connection and with different cables. Regrettably, only managed to unpack and check after return period, so, wasted product and money.

My other pre-amp, similar to most of the cheap ones here, couldn't match the volume output of my CD player, but with the volume control I can set it so the output is similar, meaning I don't need to push the amp up if I put a record on. Earthing seems good, no perceptible hum. So yes, I can recommend it.

Ich bin durch Zufall an einen Plattenspieler (JVC AL-A1BK) sowie einige Schallplatten gekommen und wollte diesen zum Testen möglichst günstig an meine Anlage anschließen. Die beiden Probleme, die ich lösen musste, waren: - Auf Line-Level kommen (dafür ist der Vorverstärker ja in erster Linie da) - Die Lautstärke regeln (Meine Anlage besteht aus einem DSP und PA-Endstufen, die Lautsärke regle ich sonst auch über die Quelle) Der Vorverstärker löst für mich gleich beide Probleme auf einmal. Positiv überrascht hat mich, dass quasi kein Eigenrauschen wahrnehmbar ist, obwohl ich ihn einfach auf die Endstufe gestellt habe. Den Klang würde ich als neutral bezeichnen, mir ist nichts aufgefallen, im Idealfall sollte er ja auch keinen Einfluss auf den Klang haben. Die Lautstärkeregelung lässt sich auch super einstellen. Die Verarbeitung finde ich sehr gut, die Cinch-Buchsen sitzen fest und vertragen auch stramm sitzende Stecker, scharfe Kanten konnte ich keine feststellen. Einzig der Lautsärkeregler liegt leicht am Gehäuse an und schleift leicht beim drehen, was aber kaum auffällt. Fazit: Wer günstig seinen Plattenspieler mit einer modernen Anlage verbinden und separat die Lautstärke regeln möchte, ist mit diesem Vorverstärker gut bedient.

Worked well to amplify my record player so I could use it as the aux in to my sound bar. Good for the price of around 20$.

Para escuchar los viejos, y nuevos tb, vinilos pasando el audio por un amplificador AVR por entrada CD RCA, ya que no tiene entrada PHONO para el tocadiscos. Sólo hay que tomarse unos minutos en la instalación, es muy importante conectar el conductor de tierra o masa entre este Previo y el plato giradiscos, pues mejora el volumen y la limpieza del sonido increíblemente. Tb desplazar el Switch de Phono a Line. Y por supuesto conectar los cables RCA blanco y rojo de entrada y salida. Todos estos cables que menciono no vienen con el artículo por lo que hay que hacerse con ellos aparte. Ya, por último, ajustar el potenciometro de volumen del previo, yo lo tengo a mitad o 3/4 y disfrutar de la calidad única del sonido de los vinilos, bien por altavoces o bien por auriculares si es de noche o de madrugada, en este segundo caso bajar al mínimo el volumen del plato giradiscos. Excelente compra.

15年使用のアンプのプリアンプ部が壊れた。レコードを聴くため、これまでにいろいろのプリアンプを試した①BOX X2は真空管を使用し、音質が柔らかいという評価だったが、音がハイあがりで聞いていて頭が痛くなった。 ②AT- PE03は日本の有名オーディオメーカーの製品。評価は高かったがハイあがりで少しキラキラした音①よりは聞きやすかったが聞いていて疲れる。 ③PP500は一番安価。周波数レンジが狭い感じ、特定のレンジが強調されている感じだ。安価なコンポであれば良いかも。 本品のPROZORは音が一番フラットである。聞いていてあまり疲れない。この価格で素晴らしい。 電源スイッチが付いている。音量のボリュームを変えられる。 とても良い。ただ、出力が少し小さいのが不満。 総合的に見て4000円ほどの値段としたら文句は付けられない。音質がフラットなのが何より良い。聞き疲れしない。
