We clip it with scissors and feed it to our chickens. You could compost it or just throw it out.

How long does/can it live?

Hello! I gave this as a birthday present to my 6 year old granddaughter. She was really happy and thrilled with it! With help from her father, she was able to follow the instructions from him in putting it together. The plants lasted for several months. Some mold had set in and he had to trim it back a little. He plans on getting another one for her, of course that will be my present to her for Christmas. Your child or children will love it! I also see that the price has been reduced.
