why is the recommended age 13-15? im older and i want to play it.

"Recommended ages" often have little to do with the game itself and have more to do with whether or not it contains small pieces that a child could choke on. You could put out "Candyland" and if it had small enough pieces you might be required to put an age limit of 13+ years on the box to protect yourself from litigation. Having played this game many times I wouldn't personally recommend it for anyone who is not mature enough to focus on a game with complex mechanics for several hours. What age that is really depends on the person.

How long does an average session last?

4-5 hours. Although rare, I’ve had a few games that have been under 3 hours. Just remember it’s a score objectives game and not a war game, that’s generally why people take so long.

Does the game contain dice?

Yes, eight 10-sided dice are in the box.

Does it come with a rule book?

In typical fantasy flight games style it comes with both a Learn to play guide and an extremely thorough rule book. Both of which are available for viewing (free) on their website before you get the game as well.
