I just put one into the input on the switch box and put one output from the switch back on the box, the other output on the switch goes to the new box, then the buttons on the switch change from 1 box to the other. it seems to be working for me. Also you could just run another line from the dish it should have 4 screw fittings on the lnb, you could run 4 boxes from 1 dish, but then you wont be able to record on your sky box. I have bought a few of these for myself and friends. Connect the main co-ax cable from the dish to the centre socket then run one co-ax from socket A to the box and one from B to the second box. You also have to run a HDMI cable from each box to the television. My television automatically switches between both HDMI inputs when I press button A to watch box A and the same for box B. It certainly works for me. **Q: Will this work simply to split an incoming normal tv aerial signal to two different televisions (allow the selection of either one tv or the other)?** A: It should do, as long as all the cables are fitted with screw connectors, as that's the type of socket this unit has. They are usually used for satellite tv connections (I use mine to split a satellite dish connection to two different set top boxes). I'd already tried using an aerial splitter, but the loss of signal strength was too much for the rather elderly Sky box to cope with. So I was looking for a physical switch that would ensure the dish was only connected to one receiver at a time, and that receiver would get the full signal strength. Seeing other people had used this switch for that purpose, I bought it, connected the dish to the centre socket, and flyleads for the receivers to the outer sockets. It works perfectly and each receiver gets a strong signal when selected.
