CocoPlush Floss Threaders by COCOLAB, Mint Scent, 30ct, 1-Pack

My 8 year old has had braces for about 6 months. I purchased a waterpick, electric toothbrush, threaders, platypus flossers, and teeth brushing almost always ended in pain and tears. She does not use the waterpick and its impossible for me to do for her. Then I found these CocoThreaders. I cannot be more thankful. I never do reviews on Amazon, sorry, but I had to share this with parents of kids with braces. This product has changed our lives! Flossing has become painless and easy for me and her. Forget threading slimy floss through needle type threaders. These built in threaders are absolutely perfect. I know this Italian made product is a little pricey, but totally worth every penny! Its made from recycled materials which I appreciate. If you are not going to skip flossing braces, this is definitely the only product you need to do it.

Customers should know that CocoPlush Floss Threaders are everything promised. They smell wonderful, feel amazing on the gums, and floss like no other around my mouth "hardware." This product removed more debris than my previous threaders. Pricey, but worth it. My dental hygienist recommended these, and she was not wrong about the quality of this product--5 stars!

The string is quite short (total of 14", including the flimpsy threader). For the price, I was surprised at how ineffective these worked. I could not get the threader inserted between my teeth as I was able to do with my non-brand product. I used these one time and required two strings to floss all my teeth, so really the box only enables 15 flosses. Pretty expensive overall. I typically don't do this when I am dissatisfied with a product, but I returned these.

Overall, I’ve had a good experience with these floss threaders. The floss feels strong and doesn’t fray easily, even when cleaning between tighter teeth. The light mint flavor is a nice touch and leaves your mouth feeling fresh after use. The only downside is the packaging. Pulling the floss out isn’t always as smooth as I’d like, and sometimes it takes a little extra effort to get the next piece without it catching.

I wanted to love this floss but found it shreds horribly around my permanent retainer. This has been bad enough that I've had shreds and fibers of it that break off and stay between my teeth I've had to use a different type of floss to get it out and sometimes it's stuck really badly which can be uncomfortable. I had one event where I couldn't get it out for a couple days and nearly had to go to the dentist for help. I've tried various techniques with different angles, how tightly I hold the floss, and still have this issue. For as expensive as this floss is, I don't plan on buying it again. Positives: I like the thicker texture that can grab stuff between the teeth and get it out for a deeper clean. The scent/smell while light is pleasant. The threader to get it through my teeth is really handy and would be fantastic for travel if it weren't for the shredding issue.

These work great and make flossing with braces easier because of the built in threaders. My only problem when using them was that I have a few ligature wires near my brackets and they tend to get tangled on them and shred.

Does this floss work? Yes. Does it actually make it through tight spaces? Not at all. Is it worth the price tag? Not really. For what it’s worth, when I can actually get it into my gum line, it actually does clean pretty well; I will give it that much. The issue is the floss is so fluffy I have to practically shove it and yank it in between my teeth which is pretty uncomfortable and honestly, a lot of work. Also, I couldn’t even floss beneath my permanent retainer because the threader isn’t thin enough - so I had to buy threaders to even be able to use the floss which is the whole reason why I bought this floss. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a terrible floss, it gets the job done when it actually makes it to the gum line, it’s just such a hassle to get it there. All in all, it’s just really not worth how expensive it is - I can get the job done quicker and easier with way cheaper floss. Also, I’m not a dentist so I can’t be sure but I honestly don’t think I have super tight spaces between my teeth - I’ve never really had a problem with not getting floss between my teeth before. I do wear my retainer still and have a permanent retainer so granted maybe they are closer together than the average person?

This sounded great when I saw a dentist using this on IG. However, I found it difficult to get btwn my teeth and would get stuck causing it to dethread in some places. Going back to my old version.
