I based my choice off the information given about sizing. I am not sure if the tag is wrong and the seller is right or vice versa. I bought these in large because my waist size is 32" and this says "12-14" and "32-34" for waist size in the information given in this ad. They fit, but are a bit snug compared to other drawstring crop pants I own. I looked at the tag today. It reads: L 10-12. I think I should have looked for XL for a looser fit.
