AMAZING for Medtronic 670G w/Guardian Sensor
Being a Type 1 Diabetic for over the past 37 years, I can attest that there isn’t much that I get excited about with shots and finger sticks. That being said, I have been an insulin pump user since 1998. I have recently started using the Medtronic 670G with the Guardian sensor. Prior to my new pump, I had the Animas Vibe with the Dexcom G4. Let me tell you, I used everything under the sun to make the Dexcom G4 adhere to my body. The adhesive they provided was terrible, it would begin to peel on the 3rd day. I seriously got to the point that I didn’t even use the Dexcom G4 because I wasted too many dollars for a product that could not adhere to my body. I’m sure I could have done more research, but I was just done! My save in grace! 1. When I was informed that Animas was no longer going to manufacture their insulin pumps and I was having to switch to Medtronic, I finally felt a sigh of relief. My very first insulin pump was a Medtronic pump. I read up on Medtronic’s newest pump and their Guardian sensor and a smile came to my face. My best friend since childhood, who too is a Type 1 Diabetic, and has been on the Medtronic 670G with the Guardian CGM for over 1-1/2yr, told me about Simpatch. She told me how well their product adhered to her body and she also informed me of their impeccable customer service. 2. Upon using the Simpatch for my very first time, it was very easy to apply. I first wiped the area I was injecting the Guardian CGM sensor with one SkinPrep pad. Then I placed the Simpatch over the Guardian CGM and voila, it adhered perfectly. (See pictures provided - the patch is adhered to my right leg) 3. The Simpatch “NEVER” lifted on the edges, not even when I reached the 7th day of my sensor to be changed. Let me also add, I workout at minimum 3 days per week. I run, bicycle and weight train, oh and living in Florida with 90 – 100 degree temps, sweating is inevitable. That ALL being said, the Simpatch “NEVER” failed! 4. Changing out the Simpatch is as easy as applying. Removing the old Simpatch, I lifted lightly on the edges and it came off with ease. My skin never felt like it was peeling off with the Simpatch, unlike it did when I used the original adhesive provided by Medtronic. If you need, you can use an adhesive remover wipe (like Reliamed or Unisolve) as you are removing the Simpatch. To the owner of Simpatch, James Duffy, who so nicely sent an e-mail message thanking me for my purchase, I don’t know how else to describe your product other than…AMAZING!!! I LOVE IT!!! I love it so much that I am going to buy the other colors of purple and blue you have available. I wish you would make more colors, because in all honesty, I like showing it off. Yes, I find the Simpatch makes my Guardian sensor look hip. It makes me proud to show that I am a Type 1 Diabetic that is fighting the fight and refuses to ever quit! THANK YOU Simpatch and mostly, THANK YOU JAMES DUFFY!!!

The best patch on the market for the Medtronic Guardian CGM!
I used it for the first time about 6 days ago for my Medtronic Guardian CGM. The Simpatch was something I purchased because I felt like the Medtronic Oval Tape wasn't good enough. It wasn't keeping the CGM properly adhered to my body and I kept having issues with the CGM updating, disconnecting and I wasn't getting the promised 6 day use of the sensors! Those sensors are expensive and I became frustrated that the product Medtronic was selling wasn't good. I ran into your product on Amazon and figured I would eliminate all variables prior to making that decision and figured I would try the Simpatch patch to see if I could get the most out of my sensors. Simpatch has already completely changed my feelings about the Guardian CGM. The CGM is now properly adhered to my skin! It doesn't have a "plastic wrap" feeling that the manufactured Oval Tape had. It is simply more comfortable than any other product I've used for the Guardian CGM. It's flexible, feels more natural and it doesn't feel like the slightest bump, bend or slip may disconnect the sensor. The Simpatch was VERY simple to apply as sometimes in using other tapes or adhesives (depending on body location) I would need some help from my Wife. The adhesive on Simpatch is effect and keeps the sensor on your skin without disrupting it's signal to my pump. It was easy to take off and left less residue on my sensor than the original manufacturer's oval tape. I exercise doing HIIT training every night, shower every night, have used it in the pool and all of those activities rendered no issues-the Simpatch is leaps and bounds better than other products! The edge of the Simpatch hasn't worn down or frayed away from my skin after 6 days! The Simpatch has changed my outlook on wearing the CGM and made the marriage between the my CGM and pump very effective! THANK YOU to Simpatch for an awesome and affordable product!

Thankful for this product!
I’m pretty impressed! I could not keep my freestyle Libre in my arm for more than 6 days! Sometimes lasting only 2! I read a lot of good things and saw some YouTube videos recommending SimPatch. I put one on immediately after getting them. My sensor was already peeling off in two places after only 4 days again, so I hoped the SimPatch would help get a little longer out of it. It lasted the remaining 10 days! After a few showers it started to peel up from the edges but I was able to dry it with my hair dryer and heat up the adhesive a little and make it stick. That trick lasted another few days until it really started to roll up. But still, it hung on! Now that I look back, I probably could have trimmed off the part that wasn’t sticking anymore to prevent pulling and continued peeling up. Live and learn! There was still plenty of area sticking around the sensor though! To be honest, peeling it off was a little painful (I have thinner skin). BUT, I honestly can’t say that was too much of a downfall here... as good adhesion is exactly what I was hoping for. I just went slowly and was patient with peeling it off. I did purchase some skinTAC to see how well that protects my arm from peeling off the SimPatch for this next sensor. And I purchased tacAWAY to clean the place where the patch and sensor left residue from adhesive (worked well). All in all, I am THRILLED with this purchase. It saved me the trouble of having to contact the Libre company and most importantly saved me the cost of having to prematurely buy a new sensor! Will definitely buy again when it is time for more!

100X better than Medtronic Oval Tape. Still Can Sweat off.
First off, if you’re deciding whether to get these to replace the Medtronic Oval Tape, do it now and don’t look back. In the very least, it’s an upgrade because it doesn’t leave behind ANY of the glue that takes basically 2 weeks to get off like the Oval Tape does. It also sticks far far better. Cons: 1) the backing is a little weird and fussy (tip: completely fold it back and forth on the perforations a couple times and then pull away from the backing on the other side of the perforations keeping the backing still in full contact with the patch. It sounds more difficult than it is). 2) I live in St. Louis where the summer humidity is often beyond brutal and I’m starting to believe that there isn’t as a single medical adhesive on the market made for active people in this type of climate. I bought the Simpatch because I was losing more sensors to sweat than Medtronic would replaces (1/month is their policy). Thus far, I’ve only lost one with the Simpatch but I’ve had to supplement it with either additional tape or a second Simpatch. This is still better than the Oval Tape b/c you can cut away the unsticky part easily and tape over it with some sort of water proof medical bandage tape or another patch if necessary which with the Oval Tape, once it starts to come up you’re pretty much done. Note/Tip: The directions for drying the patch say not to use a hair dryer because the glue is heat activated and may stick to firmly if you use this intense of heat. After I had sweated the majority of a few off I decided to try using the hair dryer both during the initial application and when drying off after a shower or something. This definitely seems to help and isn’t in the slightest bit any more painful to remove. However, I do still manage to sweat parts of them off and have to use the aforementioned steps. Hope this helps!

Best find of my life!!
I have an 11 yr old child with type 1 diabetes. Recently he had begun to break out from every adhesive that came in contact with his body. He wears a continuous glucose monitor sensor (CGM) as well as an insulin pump, which both use adhesives to keep the equipment attached for their specified amount of time. We were having to change out his equipment every couple of days and had not made it the full 7 days for his sensor because the rashes would develop so quickly. His poor skin was just broken out horribly and it would take weeks to heal, limiting his options on places to attach his diabetic equipment. Numerous doctors told us to try a variety of products, none of which helped in any way. We saw an allergist, a dermotologist - no luck. I just happened to come across Simpatch and after reading the reviews of people with similar issues, I decided to try it. Being a little skeptical at first, we applied the Simpatch and to my amazement, we made it the full 7 days for the first time in 7 months. We had minor peeling around the edges, but my son had been in a swimming pool most of the day every day that week, but the Simpatch never wavered... it protected his sensor which was the important thing. It applied very easily and removed easily as well. I was so thrilled to see that after taking the Simpatch off, his skin was clear. He did have a slight rash under the sensor itself because of the adhesive attached to the sensor. I wanted to see the performance for at least another week, so we changed out his sensor (CGM) and applied the Simpatch. We made sure to rub the edges a little better this time to prevent the edge peeling at it did great, even with all the swimming, the Simpatch didn't peel on the edges. We made it another 7 days! I was exstatic to see that after peeling off the Simpatch, there was absolutely nothing on my son's skin. Not even under the sensor where the other adhesive had bothered him for so long. I cannot even express how happy I am that I stumbled across this product. If you are having similar issues with adhesives, whether it be dexcom, omnipod, or the medtronic guardian like we use, or for any other reason... just give it a try and see for yourself! We got the blue, but I like that there are 4 color choices.

Better than Medtronics but not a miracle patch
First of all, take everything I say with a grain of salt. As a disclaimer, I am more active than the average diabetic. I work on a farm during the week and kayak, backpack, camp, ski, snowmobile, and so much more on the weekends. I am in constant range of motion almost 80-90% of the day everyday, and sweating almost the whole time too. This patch, simply put, is not perfect. The material is high quality like a nice fabric bandaid and gives acceptional stretch, unlike the vinyl “donut” stickers you get with your guardian sensors. However, they still seem too peel off after 3 days, although this is the same amount of time the Medtronic patches give me the simpatch does hold the sensor on better and I do notice less movement and the insertion site is less sensitive after I remove the sensor. I am allergic to most adhesives and the Medtronic patches will make my skin blister and dry out. The simpatch has a nice adhesive that my skin is less likely to react to, but occasionally it does happen. The simpatch is fairly water resistant but in no means waterproof. The edges do peel up after a good swim. Pictured below, I have a patch I had been wearing on my arm for 3 days. I did not go swimming during the time, and only showered twice while wearing it. The weather outside was about 98° and I worked outside all day one of the days and got fairly sweaty. Overall if I lived an average lifestyle and received the same results, this patch would have gotten a two star review, conversely if I didn’t move around as often this patch would work better and so I overall DO RECOMMEND every diabetic with a guardian sensor buy these patches

Perfect for freestyle libre sensor
Received this product on May 27th, 2020, it is now June 4th, 2020. It was easy to place (I did shave the area I placed it on, under arm). I'm using it on my Freestyle Libre sensor because they are pricey and I noticed the ashesive was not strong enough and would fall off too soon (6 days into the 14 day operational time frame). I'm not extremely active, but I do jog 5 days out of the week, between 1.5 to 2.5 miles. I needed something with longer lasting adhesion due to the sweat and friction when exercising. Since I put the patch on I have not had any issues. I've jogged and showered and the patch has not given up, which means I get my money's worth since the sensor is functioning throughout it's full 14 day term. Another plus is that when the patch gets wet, I just place my arm in front of an oscillating fan and it dries in 1 or 2 minutes so you don't have to feel that damp feeling for too long (the product strongly objects to using a hair dryer to dry the product as it could become difficult to remove. I use a regular oscillating fan that circulates the air at room temperature). I have also not felt any sort of irritation or reaction to the product which is great. I know the patch looks big, but it honestly doesn't feel like you have the patch on because it's very flexible, lightweight, and breathable. So far so good for me. The product has done exactly what I wanted it to do so I would highly recommend it if you are also looking for something to help your freestyle libre sensor last the full 14 days.

Relación calidad precio. Absurdamente caro.

Use a patch. Save the sensor.
Tried two makers now. Patchebetes and this simpatch. This one is much better. Less fraying.. Sticks more with less peeling at edges. Both seem to start losing full effect after a week so i have changed them in the middle of the libre cycle. But only when i have lots of athletic activity. Sitting around house and showering they should last 2 weeks. Any patch is better than no patch. The libre sensor pops off easy to easily. Not one has fallen off with the patch over it.. 10 sensors deep now.
