Magilanck Sax Mute for Soprano Saxophone with Detachable Neck

Having researched various mute options,..Most sax players would tell me: "there is no mute for saxophones" Truth be told that because saxophones produce their tone quite different than a trumpet,..you cannot really reduce much noise by sticking something down the horn ending. I found this sax mute to work quite well due to it reducing the sound right where it comes from; in the mouthpiece and neck. However it does tone the flow of air considerably, Sometime I only the mouthpiece mute and the ending piece, not using the neck mute piece at all. You can try whatever works best for you. Blowing into the horn slowly or softly is a good thing to practise & one way of reducing the sound considerably and also teaches to you to have more control over the sound of your instrument. Out of the options to mute a sax, I'd say this one is the best I've had so far. Definitely try it.
