Barrettine Log Cabin Treatment - 5L

I've tried a range of decking oils – Ronseal, Wickes, Cuprinol, you name it. But for me, this one tops them all. It goes on effortlessly, gives a beautiful finish, and holds up well over time. I do like Ronseal too, but switching from this to their version was a bit of a letdown. The finish and ease of application just didn't compare. I recommend this and will buy again.

Great product. Goes on easily and creates an impermeable barrier between the rain and the wood. It is quite pricey but much better than the acrylic based treatments which you can buy. We chose clear, which slightly mellows the wood appearance. In my opinion, it improves it. We have so far done one coat on a 12 x 8 shed. This has used approximately 2.5 litres and doesn’t seem to need 2 coats. It’s not a shiny varnish so retains some of the woods natural properties. Would highly recommend this product to those who are treating new wood. Bear in mind however it cannot cover previously painted timbers where other products have been used. I believe the reverse of this however is possible. Will definitely get more of this!

Took 2 tins to cover 24m square of cabin, not too thick goes on quite watery, strong smell on application however fades quickly, has protected pine well over last six months.

This product soaked into the wood and after 2 coats dried out and as you can see from the pictures rain water just drops off.Well worth the money

I Wouldn't use anything else, not that I haven't tried!
