The stand is very robustly built and does exactly what it is supposed to. There's no wobble, it's stable and well made. It has a nice, smooth hydraulic action, and can be raised and lowered easily. This means that if you are tired of standing, you can lower it without removing the computer from the top shelf, and just sit. I have only one small quibble: there are a set number of positions, rather than an infinite number of adjustments, so you have to raise or lower the stand to one of the five positions available. As others have noted, it could be that your ideal position falls between two of the set choices. But I doubt that a few centimetres either way are crucial, and I think it's fine.I can't compare this with other models, but I can say that the smooth, easy hydraulic action is very impressive, and I would certainly buy this again. If you have back problems, as I do, this is an excellent product. An added bonus is that the keyboard tray can slide back out of the way when you're not using it.
