Bulk Pea Protein Isolate Powder, Chocolate Mint, 1 kg

I love this protein. Tastes a bit earthy but that’s to be expected with vegan protein powders (I just flavour it with sweeteners or sugar free syrups). As a person who cannot tolerate soy protein or whey protein, this is a good alternative. Takes a while to mix and a bit of effort but I don’t mind that. Doesn’t really taste grainy (but I mainly use this in baked oats so might vary if used in shakes). The vanilla one is good, and the chocolate mint one is flavoured really well.

On the face of it this seems like a good deal: a large quantity of vegan protein powder for a decent price. However, the taste is so bad that I couldn't drink even a quarter of a serving of it, it's just ghastly. I can't make myself consume this, it tastes like vomit (and may actually make me vomit if I tried to drink it all) It doesn't matter how good the price is if the product is so disgusting you can't even use it. This is the first time I've bought a Bulk product and it will be the last - I'm guessing it's cheap because they're struggling to get rid of this slop. Atrocious taste and terrible value for money in the sense that it's completely unusable so it doesn't matter how little it costs.

The taste is not bad. Naturally it's not going to taste like a bar of mint chocolate or an After 8, but considering it's pea protein, that is vegan for those who are not aware, you're going to feel a taste you may not be familiar with. But honestly? You get used to it. I've tried mixing it with a spoon, a fork, and a whisk. In all fairness, the fork and spoon left residue that didn't mix with the fluid and just clumped together like they were actively trying to make me work more for my workout drink. The whisk did a fantastic job though, no issues with that little chefs' helper. (I haven't used one of those shake bottles, because I'm cheap, so can't speak to that, apparently they're magic or something.) Good value? I'd say excellent. That comes down to individual finances, but in my opinion it's excellent value. I've been using it for about a month, slightly more maybe, and I can say I've seen improvements in my physical condition, i haven't become and olympian overnight but, like my arms and abs. Pretty hard to argue with actual results. The texture is very slightly grainy, but nothing significant. Comparing it to other proteins that aren't plant based, yes there is a difference, but it's not a deal killer in my opinion. Only complaint: the big bags don't close properly once you open them. Moisture might get inside, which defeats the purpose of buying in bulk if it all goes stale. Maybe they'll rethink the design. Would I recommend it? Definitely.

I tried vegetarian food made with pea protein and didn't like the taste. This pea protein, however, tastes of chocolate mint as claimed. It's a welcome replacement for soy protein in my morning shake.

I mix this into my porridge in the morning and it's lovely. Mixes really well. No lumps or grity texture. The flavour is nice if a little bit overpowering on the mint flavour, but I like it. It's my first time trying bulk protein and I would like to try other flavours based on how lovely this one is. I knew it would be good when I first opened the bag and it smelled exactly like chocolate mint. Pretty cheap as well, compared to some other brands.

Only tried vanilla and this one so far and it is my favourite. Almost completely doesnt foam although doesnt seem to mix as well as vanilla version and sometimes you get little chunks.

I have ordered this several times in past year. However this latest batch is awful. There is no sign of sweeteners or mint flavoring which results in a bitter taste. Horrible compared to how it normally tastes. Avoid as I suspect this comes from a bad batch

I usually like Bulk shakes, but this chocolate mint flavoured version doesn't taste very nice. In the future I shall only buy the salted caramel or plain chocolate.

Es geht hier um Schoko-Minze. Dank der Minze schmeckt dieses Proteinpulver auch pur sehr gut. Kein Vergleich zu anderen Erbsenproteinen, etwa PBN, die man nur gemischt genießen kann. Überhaupt nicht sandig und nur mit leichtem Erbsennachgeschmack. Das Wichtigste: es ist wunderbar cremig, ein natürliches Verdickungsmittel. Fast so sehr wie Caseinpulver, das mittlerweile ebenso wie Whey sehr teuer geworden ist. 3 Schaufeln in eine große Tasse mit Wasser und man bekommt einen Schoko-Minz Pudding. So muß das sein und nicht diese wasserdünne Plärre a la Whey. Und es löst sich ebenso gut wie Casein auf, ohne jede Klümpchenbildung wie bei Whey üblich. Dabei ist es zurückhaltend gesüsst, und auch nur mit Stevia, grosser Pluspunkt. Nicht diese penetrante, widerliche Süße wie bei fast allen anderen Proteinpulvern. Nach den drastischen Preiserhöhungen für alle Art Milchprotein bleibt Erbsenprotein die einzige Option. Reisprotein gibt es nur natural und ist deshalb nur gemischt essbar und Sojaprotein hat die negative Hormonproblematik. Es bliebe noch Ei-Protein, doch das ist sogar noch teurer als Whey. Positiv ist ebenso der relativ geringe Kaloriengehalt, ohne überflüssigen Fettanteil. Und es ist nicht so staubig wie Reisprotein. Ergänzung: auch Banane schmeckt ausgezeichnet und ist genauso cremig. Aber: nach der Preiserhöhung auf 44 EUR ist das keine Option mehr. Für den Preis bekommt man auch Casein.

Ma pâte dentifrice a un goût bien moins chimique. J’ai demandé un retour ou un remboursement mais zéro retour, ni remboursement. Je suis très déçue, 29,99 perdus. Chocolat menthe est immangeable, à fuir !

It’s not vegan, it has milk and eggs, check the allergen information they are blantabtly lying and also the taste is horrible, and it doesn’t mix well with milk or water. I tried vegan milks and normal cow milk, neither worked.
