Does it actually say 45 Lbs on the holder or is that just for the picture?

It does not say 45 lbs on the holder.

Anyone had issues with not using drywall screws hanging about 40 lbs in either garage or shed

If your inference is mounting ANY hose hanger to a sheetrock wall with sheetrock screws, you are already in trouble. Locate a stud on a garage or shed wall and used 2-1/2 inch deck screws. I have two 50 foot hoses hanging on mine and no issues.

Has anyone installed hose holder on a brick?

Yes. You have to use a drill bit made for drilling brick. And use a size smaller than the screws you are using.
