A perfect light for production. I needed a powerful light to simulate sunlight during a shoot and it really works very well. I should have brought a strong stand to hold it because I have a problem that I can't find anything that can hold this light. It weighs a lot.

This thing is a beacon. It’s nice in the studio and would probably work well in a lighthouse, too.

Well made light and it would’ve gotten a five star, but they skimped out and don’t include a travel case. What are you supposed to do, show up on set with a cardboard box? The cost to add a simple case with some padding can’t be that much. You should include something with all lights…

UPDATE (7/12/24) I was able to connect with customer service. Unfortunately, their response was delayed due to illness. Once we connected, they were very quick to help me replace the defective light. I'm very happy with their attentiveness and commitment to resolving the issue. *********************************************** I initially loved the GVM SD80D that I purchased. The quality of light it provided and its features were excellent, and it perfectly met my needs. However, after just about 6 months, the light stopped working entirely. Now, I have a light that does not work, and it has been incredibly frustrating. I've tried contacting GVM multiple times through both phone and email to resolve the issue or replace the unit, but I have not received any response. The lack of customer service and support is very disappointing. If this issue does not get resolved soon, I will never buy another GVM product again. For the price I paid and all of the online reviews, I expected better quality and support. This experience has been very disappointing.
