All I know is it beats a chisel and does in 3 minutes what used to take 4 or 5 minutes, especially 5/8" round hinges. and it looks like it was factory cut. It's fairly cheap, soft plastic and it does work but I kind of wish the build quality was better. You have to be really careful using it that you don't damage it with the rotating router blade. It would be ideal if this was steel, but it would also be 3 times the price. I probably would pay that though. I won't want to say its "crappy" cheap. Just an inexpensive design that will get the job done. To be clear, it will work for light use of having to put in strikes and latch plates. It's just not terribly durable but you aren't paying for a professional tool either. It is fully functional and easy to use.
