Waterproofing Wax Cream for Leather - Neutral, 100 ml

This stuff is incredible! Worked it into a pair of cowhide leather gloves, now they are super waterproof and have gone an amazing waxed shade. Easy to apply, soaks in quickly and provides immediate protection. I Spent more than 5 hours sectioning, splitting and storing wood in the rain and hands stayed bone dry. Puts a good grip on the leather too. Well happy with this product. I Will definitely be buying it again to keep in my kit bag for further applications when need be to gloves, boots and other leather kit. Amazing! 10 out of 10

I used this to waterproof a leather motorcycle jacket on a road trip around Scotland. It worked extremely well as I stayed completely dry the entire time. Even in some harsh Scottish rain. I did apply twice before I left and once while on the trip. It dries overnight and leaves no residue. A little goes a long way and this should last me for around 6 months. Great product and will buy again

I tried this wax in my five pairs of leather boots (not on my suede boots though) and I have to say it takes a while to apply it. I tested one pair today and it resisted heavy rain so the product works. I can't say for how long though but from previous experiences with other waterproof wax products I only reapplied it once a year at the beginning of winter. I had to take one star as the sponge applicator broke on the second boot and I had to finish using my fingers. You could use any other soft sponge but I didn't have any. One thing to bear in mind is that wax products darken your brown boots at least one or two shades. I'm aware of that and I don't mind at all but if you care about the colour just use a waterproof spray because all waterproof waxes will have the darken effect. This doesn't happen, or it's not noticeable, on black boots.

An essential piece of kit for anyone with leather walking boots. It is essential to keep your boots clean and conditioned to keep them waterproof and to get your money's worth out of them, and this stuff does the trick! Easy and simple to apply, your walking boots will be immediately waterproof after using it - just don't forget to do it as often as you need to! I use my walking boots everyday for my job, and without Nixwax for Leather I'd have wet feet every day! I'd recommend it to anyone with elather walking boots!

This is the first time I have tried this product and I am very pleased with it. It is easy to apply with the fingertips which means it can be worked into all the hard to reach areas and as it is non-toxic there are no worries. It seems to keep the water out of my boots extremely well in the wet and muddy conditions we have had lately. I also used it on my leather gloves and my hands have stayed dry. The handy sized tube is easy to carry around when travelling.

Bought for waterproofing ex Army boots and its still in its tube, my boots arrived crushed so i poured boiling water straight from the kettle in to them soften them up which worked (very old trick) but it also proved that the boots did not have any leaks :) And they are still waterproof, mind you plenty of boot polish helps since i have already reviewed this item (Amazon kept posting to me to comment and i did it just to stop them nagging me) i will now review this properly, i have used this on another pair of boots, hiking, and it is very good stuff

Can’t be sure if it worked… or not. I’m confused. Could be user error. I had one shoe that for some reason was thirstier than the other. So I looked into ways to fix this. Ending up with me buying this cream sealant. I applied it. Left it a few minutes. Removed the excess and let the rest dry overnight. When wiping the excess off, the waterproofing capabilities seemed present. Fast forward a week, and my first venture out in light rain… and lo and behold, I got a wet shoe? I’m confused. Can this be layered? Should I just apply more? Or what?

Easy to apply as it is quite a fluid wax compared with something more conventional, a bit runnier than toothpaste. Recommended for gortex which is main reason I opted for it and at a decent price. Boots have stayed dry so far so good.

Dos de las fotos que salen en la descripción del producto corresponden al bote de 50 ml, lo cual es un error, el bote que te llega es el de 100 ml (ver foto). Hace años que vengo comprando este producto para mantener mis botas de alpinismo y trekking y el resultado ha sido siempre excelente en cuanto al cuidado del cuero, costuras, la membrana Gore-Tex y la impermeabilidad.

Ho 2 paia di stivaletti di pelle liscia (questa crema va bene solo per questo tipo di pellame), uno marrone, che ha circa 4 anni, e uno sul grigio più nuovo, e passandoci questa crema devo dire che sono praticamente tornate nuove. Nello stesso tempo sono tornati puliti, si sono idratati, e soprattutto sono ritornate impermeabili (specialmente lo stivaletto più vecchio aveva perso questa caratteristica), e questa cosa l’ho notata immediatamente portando fuori il cane tutte le sere con l’umidità in un prato davanti casa. Solitamente quando rientravo le scarpe esternamente erano di un altro colore, a chiazze, mentre dopo il trattamento le scarpe rimangono asciutte, perchè evidentemente questa crema crea una specie di strato su cui l’acqua scivola senza venire assorbita dalla pelle. Devo dire che ne sono rimasto molto soddisfatto, e in più, le scarpe che prima erano un po’ “secche” e avevano quelle piccole grinzette tipiche del pellame non idratato, si sono ammorbidite molto. Tutto questo, specialmente per quel che riguarda il potere impermeabilizzante, a patto di passarci questa crema in maniera regolare almeno 1 volta al mese, o anche più spesso se ci prendiamo tanta acqua, perchè ho notato che poi, dopo un po’ di tempo o appunto molta acqua, l’effetto inizia a scemare. Passare il prodotto sulle scarpe è molto semplice, infatti appena aperto, il tubetto presenta una specie di spugnetta con cui mettere inizialmente un po’ di cera sulle scarpe (andateci con cautela altrimenti, specialmente all’inizio col tubetto pieno, ve ne uscirà più del dovuto, e poi rinchiudetelo subito sennò continuerà a uscire, tra l’altro ho fatto caso che a seconda di dove e come lo conserviamo può cambiare un po’ consistenza, a volte è più denso altre più liquido), e poi il lavoro andrà finito strofinandole e lucidandole con un panno in microfibra o stile panno daino, fino a che il prodotto non sarà stato completamente assorbito. Il prodotto è bianco, quindi non altera il colore originale delle scarpe. In un primo momento, però, le scarpe vi sembreranno più scure e in alcuni punti magari a chiazze, ma non preoccupatevi, una volta asciutte torneranno come prima (parliamo sempre di pelle liscia e non nabuk o scamosciato), forse appena più lucide chiaramente per via dello strato di crema, ma anche questo effetto con qualche uso tenderà a scomparire. Diciamo che se vi piace l’effetto vintage e un po’ rovinato della pelle vissuta, questo prodotto all’inizio tenderà a toglierevelo facendole sembrare più nuove (come è normale visto che comunque le state lucidando), però mano a mano con l’uso l’effetto originale della scarpa tenderà a tornare. (Se nel video vedete qualche chiazza particolarmente marcata calcolate che erano proprio le scarpe in origine ad avere quel colore con alcune zone più scure). Tra l’altro, già che la avevo, ogni tanto ci pulisco anche il guinzaglio in pelle liscia del mio cane. Il tubetto non è molto grande, 100 ml, però alla fine un bel po' di mesi ci si fanno anche perchè, a parte la prima volta in cui l'ho data più in abbondanza, come mantenimento ne basta meno. Conclusioni: devo dire prodotto ottimo, pulisce le scarpe, le nutre rendendole più morbide e le rende impermeabili. A patto di passarlo regolarmente perchè una volta presa parecchia pioggia o passata qualche settimana l’effetto comincia a diminuire.

Ich benutze um meine Blundstone Boots wasserfest zu machen. Hält sehr lange, weil sparsam im Verbrauch. Nur dann Schwämmchen fällt relativ schnell auseinander. Ist mir aber egal, weil ich ohnehin einen Baumwolllappen benutze.

I used the product on my hiking boots and it performed as promised. It gives great protection against water and mud and didn't soften the leather like some other types of waterproofing fluids and creams can do.
