Very happy, thanks Mobvoi and Amazon
This is an amazing price for a watch and I received watch with ticpods free. Both have me surprised and very content. First the watch. Nothing spectacular about the looks of the watch but I like the style of it. It's not made of very expensive material which brings the price down and yet it still looks good and seems sturdy. The Google os works great. The watch faces that comes with it is nice and I also downloaded Facer and I have found amazing watch faces here that work great. I did find a watch face that made the watch glitchy so I deleted that one and used another one and it works just fine. I love the speech to text messaging. You can make calls on the watch but really it isn't really practical to do, mostly with any watch I feel, but it works well. This watch does many things that I'm learning still by continously playing with it and learning it. The battery is still improving. I'm letting the charge run down completely and then recharging to 100 percent. This is suppose to improve it. If you go into app settings and turn off notifications and permissions on ones you don't use it helps. I turn off WiFi and just have Bluetooth. I'll turn on wifi at a gym maybe to play music without phone, but I will always have my phone by side usually so wifi stays off. Ok, so next are the ticpods free. So very cool and does Soo much and sounds great. At first I didn't know how to control them and I thought ok I'll just give them as a gift, but I kept playing with them. You have to have them placed in your ear a certain way, they are very sensitive but when you find the sweet spot for everything with these ticpods they are awesome. You have to read the manual and maybe Google them and learn everything about them. I just wish they sent earbud covers of different sizes but they work for me nicely, one ear better than the other though. I can have these in my ear listening to Google play music and tap them to bring up Google assistant and say call sister and then hello, sis is on the phone. Only tiny flaw is you can't go to previous track by touching it, but you can just tell Google to go to prior song and it will. It's pretty amazing. I just think technology is so amazing and I can play with it all day but never really wrap my mind around how these things are done, lol. Alien technology maybe, 👽, lol. I thought I was possibly making a bad decision but once I dove in to learn these products I learned they are quite amazing. Once again thanks Mobvoi for being so affordable for us folks that aren't made of money but still good people. We appreciate a good thing:). After 6 days of use It can last 30 hrs if frugal with energy from charge. If you just use it for what it is, a watch that tells time. Occasionally using the perks. Having the face turned off and turning on by double tapping screen or pushing button. screen on all day it will bring it to around 12-20 hrs from what I noticed with mine. Depending on how much you use I'm guessing. I use weather app, tic health, news, music app, speech texting a little. I like this watch.

Very good product!
UPDATE: April 12, 2018. Having used the Ticwatch E for a while now, I am very satisfied with it. If you manage the applications that are running on the device, it is more than sufficient for day to day needs. I usually run the brightness on 2, and have Bluetooth connection to my Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and have it enabled for phone calls. Additionally, sometimes I use the fitness app to track my workout. Under those parameters, the battery needs charging daily. Overall-a great purchase for the money. ---------------------------------------- I recently purchased the Ticwatch E and overall I am pleased with it as my first smart watch. The watch performs all the functions that I wanted (basic time keeping, fitness app, plays music, notifications of text & calls, ability to conduct calls through paired phone, etc). However, as with any other battery operated electronic product, potential purchasers should manage their expectations with regards to battery life. Given the small size of the battery (300 mAh) you can’t expect it to perform like your paired phone with its 3,000+ mAh battery. An understanding of that limitation will go a long way in ensuring you are pleased with the product. My initial evaluation: Setup. One of the most seamless and easiest out of the box setups that I have ever done. It paired perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Aesthetics and Wear. The watch is slightly bigger than the average watch, but is extremely light. Overall I like the look and feel, and find it is easy and comfortable to wear. Applications. The Ticwatch E has a good basic suite of Android Wear apps, to include fitness. The fitness app has many exercises which you can choose for your workout. I downloaded other apps from the Google Play store (weather, Play Music, messaging, etc) and they run with no issues. Day to Day operation and battery life. If the device has an Achilles heel, it is in understanding and managing the limitations of its battery capacity. I have reduced the brightness, turned off wi-fi and GPS, disabled the step counter and Ticwatch Health app. If I really don’t use it for anything but checking the time and looking at a few message notifications, I can easily get 24 hours from it. However, using it normally with a daily workout (30-40 minutes) I use the Google Fitness app, and stream music to my Bluetooth wireless headphones. These apps put a significant drain on the battery, bringing me down into the range of around 8-10 hours before it needs a charge. So to use the watch in a practical manner and get benefit from the apps that most of us want to use a smart watch for, I would plan on charging it at least twice during a typical 24 hour period. I am still experimenting and will report back any significant changes, pro or con. All in all, I think it’s a great buy for the money. Great value-good apps-and reliable functionality.

Great budget smart watch - My first smart watch.
It's a great smart watch for under $200. I got my first smartwatch at $130. The battery starts out a little wonky, but consistent recharging seems to have alleviated this problem. The material is great a thin, light rubber-like band and a super light plastic watch with a nice screen. It is amazingly lightweight, sometimes I forget I'm wearing. Runs wear OS so with an android phone (which I have) it connects so easily I thought I did it wrong. Again, the only issue I had was with the battery and that was solved by itself. As far as the software, it runs smoothly and many watch faces to choose from. Plenty of connectivity to your phone of your choice. You DO NOT need a Samsung or iPhone to operate this watch. I have a newish (summer 2018) Huawei Honor 7X and what's nice is if I upgrade due to a break or something, I won't have to get a new watch. Just log in on my new phone with the app. Like I said, plenty of options for apps to work with, including the basics: messaging, notifications, phone calls. You can take and make phone calls on the watch as well, very cool feature for a smartwatch beginner who thought this budget smartwatch would cut some corners, but it seemingly didn't. All in all, I love this smartwatch, I wear lots of different watches for style and timekeeping, but when I know I'm going to be away or separated from my phone, or I need to see a certain phone call or text, or any situation that would be beneficial to have a smart watch, I wear my Ticwatch. It's still a little expensive compared to some REALLY budget smartwatches, but I bet those aren't up to snuff. Additionally, the lightweight aspect can make the watch feel a little cheap and not so durable, but I don't think this is the case and I haven't had the opportunity to compare it to another smartwatch. In conclusion, 10/10 for everything about the watch including the watch except battery. 9/10 for battery, since it doesn't seem to work straight out the box but still a happy ending.

I was very happy with this watch. Just one problem.
Update: The watch was great, and had almost everything that I needed. The features are good, the size is good, the price is great, and the battery life was OK. BUT, in the end, I've given up using it. The problem is the connectivity. Too often, I'd miss a phone call or important text and then find out that the had watch disconnected from my phone. I'd have to turn off the BT and then turn it back on to get it to reconnect. I leave my phone in my pocket with the ringer off, and rely on the vibration from my watch to notify me when a call comes in - if the connection is not reliable, I need a different watch. ----------------------------------------- I like the watch a lot (now 3 days old), but there is one problem that almost made me send it back. The strap is emitting what I assume are the plasticizing solvents from the manufacture process. This not only has an unpleasant smell, but when I am rest my chin on my left hand while reading for work, the vapor makes my eyes uncomfortable. I have had to wear the watch on my right wrist, and I take it off when I sleep at night, both of which are unusual. If I wasn't so happy with it otherwise I would have sent it back. I hope that the solvents will have evaporated within the next few days. Meanwhile, I have ordered a replacement strap from Amazon just in case. Update 1: I have owned the watch for a few months now, and it continues to work well. The strap eventually lost the bad smell - but I replaced it before that happened with a nice looking strap anyway. My initial concern about the battery life (it did not always last 24 hours) was solved by enabling "theater mode" at night: this turns off the screen until the button is pressed. Enabling that mode not only made the watch reliably last 24 hours, but because it has about 30% charge left in the morning, it can fully charge between when I wake up and when I am dressed and ready to go down for breakfast. Recommended.

Best smartwatch for its value!
I will be reviewing this product based off of what I look for in a smartwatch: Packaging, design, functions, apps, and battery Packaging: The TicWatch E comes in a metal tin box with a camouflage design. When you open the lid, the watch, accessories, and instructions manual are kept in place by a intricately designed cardboard cutout. Design: The watch gives off a modern minimalist feel when you look at it. It is 44 mm in diameter and 13.55 mm thick with a 1.4 inch OLED screen. Size wise, this is a pretty standard size compared to the other watches I have. The 1.4 inch screen makes the everything on the display legible and navigable. A big screen also makes the on-screen keyboard easy to use. I rarely get any typos and am able to get words right on the first try. The interface is pretty fast, meaning that I see little to no lag when opening apps or pressing the side button. I know this has been an issue with other watches, but I haven't seen any with this watch so far. The watch is also really light to the point that I would forget I was wearing it sometimes. This also has to watch strap that it comes with, which is probably the most comfortable watch band I've ever had. It grips very nicely to the wrist so that the watch doesn't slide around. This is extremely useful when exercising. The watch bands are also interchangeable, so you can mix and match with other watch bands you may have. Everything on the watch is navigable through the touch screen and a button on the left side of the watch. I wish that there were a more unique way of navigating through the watch like other watches do (rotating crown, rotating bezel, touchscreen side panel), but considering the price point, there's really not much to complain about. Functions: Nothing much to mention here considering as most functions are detailed in product description. The watch has many sport functions such as built-in GPS and can track heart rate, steps, and calories burned. There is a microphone and speaker which comes in handy when picking up calls while driving or multitasking. There is NO NFC which means you won't be able to use Android Pay to store credit/debit cards on your watch to pay in checkout lines. Furthermore the watch is rated IP67, so while the watch isn't waterproof, it is water resistant. Apps: The watch runs on Android Wear 2.0 and can also be powered by Google Assistant. While the Android Play Store hasn't been optimized for smartwatch apps yet, but it does have the useful apps such as Spotify, Google Music, Google Maps, and many others. You can use Google Assistant to navigate the watch by saying "OK Google" or hold down the side button. Battery: I've read many complaints on the Mobvoi forum about the watch's poor battery life. The makers of the watch suggest draining the battery to 0% and charging to 100% about 3 or 4 times which would supposedly improve the battery life. When I first started using the watch, I only got 6 hours on its first full charge. I'm not sure if this had to do with the battery or with me setting up the watch. After multiple charges though, I am averaging about 1.5 days of battery life with moderate use. I have yet been able to reach the 2 day mark yet. I do wish the charger was better designed though. It is magnetic, but doesn't hold in position well. Thus, the watch can stop charging with slight movements to the charger. Overall: Positives: comfortable, good workout companion for tracking workouts and listening to music, good display (Slight) Negatives: no NFC, could use a more stable charger There's not much to complain about this watch, but of course this depends your own personal usage and what you look for in a smartwatch. But for this price point, whatever the watch is capable of, it does well.

Coming from a Pebble I expected some disappointment, but this is a pathetic excuse for a "Smartwatch"
If all you want this for is to be a fancy looking watch that you can change the faces on, I suppose it'll do the job. If you want to get notifications, or really take advantage of any of the "features" this touts the watch itself makes it pretty difficult to do so. As mentioned, I previously owned a Pebble. To be honest the only reason I switched was due to my Pebble getting stuck in a boot error and the company is no more. To be fair, I don't know how many of these gripes are a result of the watch specifically or just an Android Wear issue. Notifications: Most of the time, it takes multiple attempts to swipe things up to show notifications from the watchface or to dismiss. Oh, and if I have multiple notifications and want to get to the middle one? I miss it at least once and have to scroll in the opposite direction each time. It's even worse if I get a string of text messages, as the most recent one is displayed right at the top, but then I need to scroll through a backlog of texts to get to the previous new ones. I'm not even really sure what determines how far back it pulls because it doesn't seem to follow a consistent pattern. One of the primary things I'd imagine people want a smart watch is for the ease of seeing notifications, this turns it into a chore just to check my texts. It's more convenient to just take my phone out. It doesn't even give you the courtesy of letting you know it's dying! Sure I get a little light saying it's at 20%, but from what I've seen depending on if I get any notifications that can get me anywhere from a few minutes to maybe 15-30 minutes before it turns off. I haven't gotten any additional notifications, or even a buzz to let me know, "Hey, I'm turning off now". Touch Screen: Despite having to swipe up or to the side multiple times for notifications due to it seemingly not detecting the swipe the way I want it to, I regularly look down to see that literally brushing against my shirt or a jacket over it managed to switch my watch face. Or that it dismissed a notification. Yes, there is a way to lock the screen by first tapping to "wake up" the display if it's idle, swiping down, tapping the brightness cog, and hitting the button, but is it really reasonable to have to do all of that to make sure that my SMARTwatch doesn't react to my shirt brushing against the face? Display: I don't know who designed the actual watch, but no matter what angle I look at it from, there's a pretty glaring distortion around the edges. It's honestly not the worst thing, but coming from a Pebble this was never an issue I experienced. If I'm paying over $100 for a small screen to connect to my watch that's purpose is to have me interact with it more than the actual phone to an extent, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the display I'm looking at to be just as smooth as the phone it's supposed to be replacing. The image also shifts over every few minutes in either direction. I can only assume this is to prevent burn-in but it just makes the watch look like the screen is defective due to how sudden and rough the transition is. Battery: I didn't expect this to do anything near what my Pebble did, I charged that thing once every 3-4 days on average. But this one I end up needing to charge up almost 3 times a DAY with light use. If I try using the actually really awesome features such as being able to take a call or play music through the watch itself, that 3 times a day easily becomes 4-5 times. Stability: More than a handful of times now I've had the watchface distort when I get a notification in and it stays like this for 30 seconds to a minute completely unresponsive to touch or hitting the button. This doesn't seem to be linked to any particular watchface specifically, and like other issues that I've mentioned doesn't seem to follow a specific pattern. Sometimes I have a full day with no issues getting notifications. I'd be interested to try the Ticwatch that runs on it's own OS to see how much of this is an Android Wear issue.

Best Android Wear Value
First, i'd like to preface this by saying you need to come in with the right expectations for this watch, given the price. I have owned an Apple Watch & an LG Watch Style for reference. At this price point, I knew it wouldn't be as premium as my old apple watch. However, compared to the Watch Style, this is a heck of a product. Build: The watch casing itself is made of plastic, which makes it super light. It seems to be pretty durable also, as i don't have any noticeable scuffs on the body. I would recommend a screen protector, as i did scratch the watch face by accidentally bumping a wall. The screen is, to my eyes, superior to the LG Watch Style. Colors seem more vibrant, and less pixel-ly. Software: The software- well, its Android Wear, for better or worse. The watch is snappy, and rarely sees hangups or slow downs. I did, however, encounter a bug where the watch would randomly light up and vibrate throughout the day. After contacting Mobvoi, they were happy to replace it. Since the replacement all has been good. Battery: This is a big thing. My LG Watch Style would barely make it through the day. I would take it off the charge around 7:30, & it would be dead by 7PM. The tic watch however usually will last till midnight or later. If you encounter issues though, the general consensus is that it needs to charge and be drained completely a couple of times. Final Thoughts: So, a great smart watch, and an awesome price. If you want a simple android wear watch that has a great display & battery without spending $200+, i cant recommend this watch enough. Finally, Mobvoi seems like a great company & have done all they could to ensure i was a satisfied customer.

Great in almost every way, but its two flaws cost it dearly
Pros • Latest android watch version • Works great with watch faces • Answering calls through the watch works great (though I only use it accidentally) • Great price for a great product Cons • Only compatible with tic watch cables • Watch face and update screens only last 3 seconds Review So I hate that I have to give this watch 3 stars, but it’s only 2 flaws are big ones. I am very on the go and use my technology A LOT. That means batteries wear down quickly. For my phones there are chargers at work and in multiple rooms in my house. It’s cost effective and convenient since you can get a multi-pack of iPhone and android cables for $5-$10 on amazon. For the ticwatch you are bound to buying the ticwatch brand cable. It won’t work with the nfc wireless chargers that all other competitors use and it’s expensive. This is frustrating since my fiancé and I can’t share chargers. She can not only put her watch on her phone charger but also any nfc charger throughout the house. After purchasing this it was very frustrating that if I forgot to take it off downstairs at the charging station that had the cable, and wore it upstairs to bed I now had to walk my butt back downstairs to put it on the charger instead of by my bedside. You can see the frustration. Also having a screen that only stays on for 3 seconds saves battery but it is very annoying. Maybe I want to be able to have the cool new watch face on for a minute or 2 or 3 etc. You can do this on any modern phone so why not this watch. If I get an update while wearing a long sleeve shirt or jacket, the message is gone before I can pull up my sleeve. Other than these two things it is an excellent watch for the money, but these two cons are extremely annoying. Update: The latest flaw that just happened is out of the blue the watch refuses to fast charge. Right now it takes 6+ hours to charge the puny little battery. Example. If I spend the night at say my fiance's house and need to charge it in the morning before work, I'll only get it up to about 10% charge. I have a charging cable at work too, but once I get in to work and put it on the charger I still can't use the watch until I'm about ready to leave for the day unless I'm happy with 60% battery life. Update: Another terrible feature is that Mobvio gives virtually no help in solving any issues. If you get on their community forum you will see common issues such as this with posts from people month after month with no help from Mobvio

It's not a Pebble-killer
I went for this as I wanted to try a 'smart watch' as close as possible to the Pebble re: battery life. Stark contrast, unfortunately, but expected as it's hard tomorrow with an eInk display in the battery-life wars. Regardless, it's full WearOS, and has a couple battery-life options, but don't expect to get more than a day/day-and-a-half out of it. Doesn't have a crown or any other control hardware, besides the single home button, so it's touch-screen heavy. You can expect too much from the budget end of the market though. The contrast is dismal too, so it's unreadable if sunny weather. Overall it's fine - does the job, but there's a lot I miss about the Pebble.
