These may be more expensive than 90% of other centre punches but after purchasing these based on the reputation of Starrett they became the highest quality tools I had up until that point. Beautifully crafted and finished they won't let you (or your great grandchildren) down. Useful to have different sizes. When I bought these I winced at the price but as soon as they arrived there was not one tiny smidgeon of regret. These will last 2 lifetimes.

These are my favourite things in the world. Well maybe that’s an exaggeration, but they are so nice to handle. It’s one of those things that you won’t understand until you hold these things. They just ooze quality and even smell great. They come in a little red plastic pouch that smells divine. I was trying to work out what it reminded me of, and concluded it’s a material I haven’t smelt in the UK since maybe the 70’s or 80’s. Like the sort of plastic they used for water wings or rubber rings for the swimming pool or beach. Just sniffing the pouch brought back memories of childhood holidays, packing the car and the feeling of gritty sand in your sandals. Ahem, anyway, back to the lunches. They’re lovely, well made if a little expensive and bring pride of ownership. Gombe you’ve bought these, also buy a set of the cheaper S&R ones which are also well made, in case someone asks to borrow your set.

It's Starter and comes with all the quality you would expect from a well established engineering tool company. In short if you don't know about Starter then you don't need quality engineering tools.

Has Starrett ever made a bad product? I don't think so! Can't go wrong in my view.

Package was delivered already opened with a split in the side but item inside was in tacked.

If you need to do some center punching then look no further, these bad boys can center punch with the best of them, just the other day while needing to center punch some metal,to the rescue was the Starrett S117PC, i was center punching like a rabid golden gloves champion, it was exhausting but satisfying. Love them so much that i sleep with under my pillow, it pisses the wife off, but she will have to accept the affirmation i have for this punch set.
