This pen feels well made. The weight and balance are just right. The pen is quite heavy, but that all adds to the solid, reliable feel. The black finish looks great. The ink flows smoothly and so far hasn't dried up at all. My handwriting isn't great but there is just enough resistance on the paper to slow my hand down a little, so the end result looks better. A lovely instrument and a good investment, especially at the price.

I’ve always written with ballpoint pens, so I was curious to try something more elegant and I’m glad I went for this Ellington fountain pen. On the brand’s own website this pen looked nice but on Amazon it was a much better deal, so I took the plunge. I immediately felt the difference, it’s substantial, but not heavy. The medium nib writes smoothly and consistently, I haven’t experienced any skipping or blotting. I’m getting used to it, I find I write a bit slower and more deliberately now but that’s part of the charm. The pen also comes with a refillable ink converter and three cartridges. The gift box doesn’t give high end vibes but it does the job to keep my pen safe in my bag. It’s a good entry level luxury fountain pen without over spending. I’m really happy with the purchase and I’d absolutely recommend it.

The pen comes beautifully presented in a solid box, this pen feels luxurious! The soft click lid, and the gorgeous flow of the ink! It feels decadent .. I only knocked half a star off because initially I felt it a little manly but it writes nicer than my montblanc !

Very high quality pen that works as advertised. I have bought both fine and medium sized nib. They both work very nicely. The converter in other pens that I have used had issues with the flow and I have to bleed it to restart writing. But not with Ellington pens, they seem to work all the way till the ink is done and you need to refill it. I find the medium nib smoother. Very good value pen, if one has to buy one I highly recommend this one, it the best of that price range that I have tried.

This pen writes better than I expected because basically it is a cheap finish and poorly built. The lid was too loose and drops off so can't be kept in a jacket pocket. The black lacquer has also come off in places leaving the silver undercoat exposed. I've kept it as I do like how it writes but there is no way it's worth the money and I would not purchase again. I contacted the seller who asked for pictures of the issue - how do you send a picture of a loose lid lol

A beautiful, quality pen and a lovely writer. Very nice to hold, well balanced and light weight. I want an emerald green one as well if I can get it with a medium nib.

i do a lot of writing so a decent pen is an asset and this pen is just that. Its nice to handle and feels comfortable in your hand soi have no problem in recommending this to you enjoy your craft whatever you use the pen for writing with

Feels nice in the hand and has a luxurious, premium appeal. The nib took some time to wear in and feel smooth but after a week of use it's much improved. The medium nib has a broader pen stroke than I expected. Lines are quivalent width to 0.7mm ballpoint gel ink pens I own despite this one being advertised as 0.5mm. In hindsight I would have picked the fine nib over medium. Parts and accessories are very expensive to ship to Australia, a new nib is almost the same price as a whole new pen.

I've only tried to write a few words until now, I really appreciate the shape of the fountain pen's body; it's a size that's suitable for my hands that suffer a bit from arthritis pain and therefore I struggle to clench my fingers. The nib scratches a bit on the paper. I loaded it with one of the black cartridges provided and the ink seems good even compared to the one I usually use: the Montblanc black ink
