This stuff is great you only need a small amount to make loads of mash potatoes which taste good after adding butter

Great product! So easy to use, you don't need to measure anything out, just gradually add more boiling water or milk/vegan milk until it's how you like it. You can add so much to it; olive oil, different seasoning, whatever you like. My local pub does this so they have the convenience of instant mash, but they make it nice to eat too. A small amount gives you more than you expect once hydrated, so I think 1.5kg will last a while.

Brilliant! Perfect ... only 4 stars because no instructions on how to use ... however, convinient size at a reasonable price, taste as mashed potatoes should taste also depending on what you add (water or milk, salt, pepper, margarine .... or...). The texture is perfect as the best mashed potatoes. Depending on how much liquid you add you can have it firm or soft resembling clouds in a sunny day. The colour is white as mashed potatoes. It is proper mashed potatoes powder with wich I can very quickly make a perfect mashed potatoes!

This very finely milled instant mashed potato from Puregro is a big hit in our house. It's especially useful for those like us seeking a dairy free option, as all major brand alternatives seemingly contain milk powder and/or lactose. Sadly there are no instructions provided on the packet regarding ratio of water to potato to use, but after much experimentation I have settled on 375ml water to 100g instant potato (this provides a big man-sized portion), but if you want something smaller I would suggest just starting with a 4/1 (water/potato) ratio and adjusting to your preference from there. A pinch or two of onion and/or garlic powder enhances the flavour nicely along with salt and pepper of course. We have purchased several bags of this now and wouldn't be without it.

This arrived yesterday and I had it with venison sausages and gravy last night, or bangers and mash as we call it. I tried to follow some instructions to make it up from another review, but I can only assume they weren't using actual measuring spoons, because it didn't work out. So for anyone else reading this, I used actual baking measuring spoons so I could record how to make it correctly for future reference, and 4 tablespoons of potato powder to 300 ml of boiling water makes a good sized portion of perfect mashed potato, as per the photo. I added Maldon sea salt, black pepper and butter to taste, and it tasted exactly as though I'd peeled potatoes, boiled them and mashed them myself, except with any of the hassle and potatoes growing eyes and sprouting in the cupboard because I never have time to use them all. There was no odd after taste or anything else others have mentioned in other reviews. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to eating it all Winter, although I can see I'll probably be buying more at this rate.

I've don't about 5 write ups on this man mash it makes loads with so little in the bowl so go easy on it

Bareable to eat, but quite like sandy in texture would suggest adding butter , cheese or something to taste as doesn't have much flavour
