AmeriBag Zena Shoulder Bag

Love this purse. I'm not much of a "purse" person, and I certainly don't take the time to change purses to match my outfit. Most of the time, it's sitting in a drawer at work, who sees it? However, I would purchase a new purse every so often because my old one wore out or because I wanted a change. Tried out a smaller purse for awhile (that didn't work). I even tried out a hobo bag; I liked the way it looked, but could deal with the lack of compartments. I ordered this purse and another one (different brand) at the same time about a year ago on Amazon. Once I started using this one, I haven't had the desire to change purses. It's the perfect size for what I need to carry. With daily use, it's still as sturdy as the day I bought it. Nothing fancy about the nylon fabric, but it really does hold up well, it's easy to wipe clean and dries quickly when you're caught in the rain. I decided to order a second, lighter color version, but the only other color in this style is dark brown. While looking at other options, I decided to order the Ameribag Healthy Back Bag instead of another version of the Zena Shoulder Bag. Can't wait to get it. Looking forward to feeling the difference of carrying the weight on my back rather than my shoulder when I'm out and about. I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a good quality, basic purse with lots of places to put "stuff".

I have several AmeriBags and am always pleased with their durability and functionality. This Zena bag is no exception - this is a great mid-size bag and is perfect for everyday use. I agree with other reviewers who say that is isn't really a good "shoulder" bag - it doesn't fit comfortably on my shoulder - but I don't wear bags on my shoulder so it isn't a problem for me. Which brings up another great point - the strap length. I am not very tall (5' 5") and many purses have handles that are too long for me to comfortably hold in my hand at my side without the purse dragging on the ground - this one is perfect! The overall length of the bag is great - I can hold it in my hand at my side and it doesn't hit the ground. Another huge plus is the bottom of this bag - it is flat and the bag stands upright when you sit it down. No falling over and it is easy to root around in it to find that tiny thing at the bottom that you just have to have right this second. As with all AmeriBags, it has great organizational features. Lots of pockets and compartments to keep everything where you need to find it. The silver lining is wonderful because you can see what's in your bag! The two large outside pockets are great for my Kindle DX and my Galaxy Tab 2.0 - both fit in the pockets while in their cases and sleeves. Finally, the bag is pretty decent at repelling water! I live in Seattle and the interior of the bag has stayed dry in a light shower - I'm not sure how it would do in heavy rain, but for everyday light rain it works great. A great purchase!

nice size and looks good, I have another just like it in another color but this one is somewhat a disappointment since it doesn't contain the magnets on the side pockets like the description states. If the descriptions are not accurate then we won't know what we are getting for our money. The purse itself is nice and I like the material. I place mine in a laundry bag and put it in the washer, It comes out great

I love it, and yes! My iPad fits with the cover on it in either outside pocket, there is also room for Kindle, phones and a multitude of junk. I piled my other purses away the first week this came. I can not imagine carrying anything else. It's easy to find "stuff". There a lot of well arranged easy to tell apart pockets. I've many baggalinis and I like this bag even better than them. I have several other AmeriBags also and this beats all of them also. I've tossed the other bags into the washer and dryer and they came out looking new. I expect this bag will be the same. I have one major complaint.... This bag should come in many colors. I hate a black bag in the summer.

I have had Ameribags in the past and was very disappointed in the quality of this one. In less than two months the shoulder strap separated at the top seam. I don't know whether the manufacturing has changed but the bag also seemed smaller that a previous one I owned and the inside lining was not very well attached to the bag so it kept bunching up. I would not recommend this bag even though it is very well priced.

I'm very hard to please when it comes to purses and I love this one. It has plenty of space and compartments for all my stuff, and I like the fact that the interior lining is a light gray color. This makes it easier to see where all my stuff is. All the outer zippers are heavy duty and open and close easily. The pockets on each end hold my cell phone in one and my glass case in the other, no more fumbling around inside! The center is zippered with compartments. Large pockets on the front and back are great for easy accessability and sewn in magnets keep them closed. I would have given it five stars but one of the magnets is a little off center and causes the purse to bunch up where they come together at the top of the pocket, but this is minor to me. Shippping was speedy and I'm happy with the transaction! Overall this a a great purse and I'm thinking of buying another one in black!

I've been looking for the perfect bag for me for a long time, and this is it! The AmeriBag Zena is well designed, well-constructed, and attractive. It is compact, yet holds a lot for its size! It will even hold a file folder, and still cling neatly on my shoulder. One front zippered pocket has a holder for keys and pen-sized pockets, and a pocket just right for a calender and notepad. The fabric seems really sturdy. The name (AmeriBag)is on the bag, so I will be able to remember what to order when this one wears out, or I want another color.
