**Q: Can this run off batteries?**
A: It uses batteries but but the batteries are for memory only in case the power is interrupted to the unit The clock will keep time, it just will not display it until power is restored

**Q: How to set time using buttons on the side of timer?**
A: Hi,
Here is the steps of using side buttons to set time:
Press and HOLD the "SET" button for 2S, located on the right side of the clock, to enter SET mode. Once in set MODE the preference you are currently setting will blink on the clock.
To adjust the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust (press and HOLD them to fast adjust).
To save your adjustments, press and release the "SET" button to adjust the next preference. The preference set order is as follows:
CLOCK HOUR
CLOCK MINUTE
CLOCK YEAR
CLOCK MONTH
CLOCK DATE

**Q: Does anyone have trouble with the clock keeping the right time?  Each time I set the clock within a week the seconds are off from when I set it.**
A: I did have some problems with it keeping time until I put a new battery in the backup slot.  After that it seemed to do better, but frankly I'm not too impressed overall.  I keep it out in my gym and it seems to be alright on the hours and minutes, but I have never given much attention to the seconds.
