It's a very rudimentary...so if you're really good at playing a sax I suppose the answer is yes. It's mostly for children to play with.

Would this be ok for a 6 year old thats juzt getting into playing music

Hi, I think so. I bought mine for my autistic grandson. He loved it, playing along to any music he could. The siver coating eventually started chipping off, but not before he had had many hours of fun with it. I think you might get fed up before your 6 year old, but fun.

Does it sound like a saxophone and do the others sound like a trumpet and clarinet?

I really enjoyed playing with it. It sounds good and it is easy to follow music with it or even playing by ear and mark down the tune using the musical notes.
