Review: TAILGATE CABLES WENT ON EASILY & QUICK!🏆 - A few years ago,One side of my old 97 GMC Sierra trucks Tailgate cable broke!I finally got around to ordering a pr yesterday &They were only $10,Very cheap!But not cheap on quality!They are as others have said a bit thinner on the cable ,But feel very TOUGH&I tested them and they can definitely handle the stress of that heavy tailgate when in the down position!I'm confident they will last as long as the original pair did.It was very easy to put them on,And it took like 10-12 mins tops!It only took that long because it was hard getting the old screws off,As they've been on for decades lol.
