Very satisfied with purchase
I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I’m so glad I purchased this one. It did take some time to put together. We took all the pieces out and sorted them in the order we would need them. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I put this is our bedroom closet and it’s the perfect size. It’s sturdy and well made.

Surprised and Impressed!
So, I just finished assembling this dresser and wanted to write a review while the experience is still fresh in my mind. Before going further, let me say that I have assembled many different types of this "you-do-it" furniture over the years (and have the extensive and colorful vocabulary of curse words to prove it), so I feel qualified to give a review. First, this baby is HEAVY. The UPS man trotted it up to my doorstep on his shoulder and sat it down like it was a sack of potatoes, but I couldn't move it off the porch. Once hubby arrived home, we got the box inside (he had to use a dolly, I don't know what they feed those UPS guys!). The parts were very well packaged and all the pieces were there, which was exciting. No serious damage. A slight scuff mark on one of the sides, but since it was going in my closet, I didn't particularly care. Once I began to assemble the dresser, I was pleasantly surprised. (Yes, I assemble, my husband totes. This is why my marriage has lasted over 30 years). The pieces are really solid for this type of furniture. Also, the manufacturer went to some considerable trouble with the directions. They are actually very clear (rather than being written in a dead language that no one has spoken for a couple thousand years), and have many helpful diagrams. They even color coded some of the parts for those of us who have trouble programming a DVR. (Note: you do actually need to READ the directions and follow them even though we all know that real men don't need directions. And no skipping ahead!). I was one of the lucky ones this time and all of my pre-drilled holes aligned and joints fit. Even so, it took me about 2 hours to assemble because the manufacturer put some thought into this thing and made it sturdy. Once complete, I'm really pretty happy with it. Now, something that I don't particularly like. There's no bottom on the dresser. It's open to the floor. Also, the back doesn't go all the way to the floor. This is probably not an issue if it's going in your bedroom or your closet, but if you intend to put it somewhere for storage, you may want to attach some plastic to the bottom/back of the dresser so you don't have little creepy crawlies make themselves at home in your drawers. Is there a gap between the dresser top and the top drawer? Yes. But it's only about 1/4" and I haven't seen one of these ready-to-assemble pieces that doesn't have gaps somewhere. The drawers fit surprisingly snug, however. I also am not crazy about having the cams on the inside of the drawer where my clothes will go, but that's not a show stopper. They don't stick out so that they're likely to snag on my clothes and I'll probably forget they're there by next week. It would be nice if the manufacturer had included some of those little plastic covers that snap over the cams. Overall though, I'm impressed with the quality and I feel it is worth the price I paid. I would recommend this piece to others who are looking for something similar. (Hint: when assembling, the drawer bottoms sometimes have difficulty sliding into the groove on the drawer front. If you loosen the cams on one side of the drawer, you can slide the bottom into the groove and re-tighten the cams. Worked every time!)

Heavy, broken, but does it's job.
Pros: Strength- I can't really imagine this thing caving in to casual use. As long as you aren't overfilling it with very heavy items it should be able to hold your clothes perfectly fine. No this is not meant for an extra storage unit for your power tools, your survival kit, or even your extra household items UNLESS you plan on switching out the cardboard bottoms for much sturdier ones. The reason I say that is because of the key word I mentioned before...cardboard. The bottoms are made of 'cardboard' and so they WILL NOT hold TOO much weight, but for everyday intended use it's perfectly fine. In fact I found that it's a much thicker and sturdier cardboard than those of my old drawers that were cheap Walmart units. Looks- It's a VERY beautiful dresser and I'm very happy with the purchase when it comes to looks. Build- It wasn't too hard to build. Height- Absolutely not meant for children or people under 5' 5" inches as you will probably suffer from not being able to reach the top drawer or even the items on the top of the dresser. But it is perfect for anyone above that height. So could be technically/partially child proof. Cons: Build- It took at least 3 hours, 1 callus, a bandaid, some music, and a lot of pain to build this. I would highly suggest that you give up all of your inner pride of "I'm a strong person! I can do this with a hand screwdriver!" because you will simply hurt yourself. After 3 straight hours of constant screwing I got a callus, which was expected, but I wasn't expecting to get so pissed off that I then hurt myself. The details that I will spare you of. Tools- Do listen to the manual and get an electric screwdriver to remove most of your pain and even reduce build time. A second person to help mass build the dresser units is quite helpful. Shipping- The top of the dresser, and a dresser itself got damaged while in shipping. Which is very disappointing because the little marker to "deluxe" the dresser wasn't helpful at all so I now have a very ugly mark on the top. So do beware of who is handling your package. Weight- This one is very important because if you live alone and expect to lift this into your house....well then you better hope you catch the UPS driver on time and have them help you because that is NOT happening. This thing weighs about 70 lbs....and no I'm not joking. You WILL NOT lift this by yourself unless you are some type of body builder and even then I will be impressed. I had to shimmy this through my door and then open the package there and slowly bring up each item to my room. Overall: I'm happy with the purchase besides the damage done to my dresser, and it has done it's job well enough. I was able to fit almost 2 entire drawers worth of clothes into this one unit and that is exactly what I wanted. I don't think I will ever waste my time buying another one of these because of the weight and the time it would take to reconstruct the second one but it was a fun "first time for everything" experience.

Fantastic chest of drawers
Fantastic chest of drawers, perfect for what I needed! Very heavy and substantial. Excellent quality. Box was so heavy it required 2 people to move it. Took a pretty long time to assemble (about 3-1/2 to 4 hours without using a drill), and the directions weren't as descriptive as they could be, but all in all very well worth it. I would buy again and do recommend this product.

Sturdy and heavy, tall and narrow chest. Perfect for undergarments or the kids room. Worth the money. No missing parts. Excellent!!

Assembling this drawer system was every easy and smooth. Everything is labeled properly so there are no mistakes when assembling. It is also very sturdy compared to my slightly uneven floor near the walls. The tracks are really smooth and color coordinated for assembling, making sure that you don't cross tracks. It is not like Ikea who uses mostly particle board. It actually has very strong wood so you know it is strong. The only thing I do not like is the wall mount that comes with the package. The drywall screw did not work out as planned or what it was supposed to do. But all in all a great drawer for the price and storage.

Over the last several months, I've bought several pieces of furniture that need assembly - mostly tall shelves for my bedroom and living room. And I've been shocked over and over again by the shoddy quality of the manufacturing process and the unclear instructions - even though I read the comments carefully and hadn't seen any warnings. I've had to ship back more than half of them for a refund, and I got to the point that I decided to never again buy wood shelves - just metal ones. But I needed a new dresser, and this one fit the bill - just the right size. Most of the reviews were good, so I took a chance. First - Yes, it's incredibly heavy. And that can be a problem these days when delivery companies leave packages at your front door - and I live on the third floor with no elevator. (I'm a 68-year-old woman - fairly strong.) So I was incredibly lucky that the UPS delivery woman took pity on me and carried it upstairs for me. She told me she only did it because I'm a senior, and her boss would not have been happy to see her do that. She was young and strong, but it was still incredibly difficult for her. I offered to help her carry it, but she said she was trained to do it, so she insisted on doing it herself. At one point, she rolled it end over end up the stairs. Wouldn't it be great if companies began shipping heavy packages in two boxes? So I was a bit nervous, because if the product was defective, there was no way I could take it back to the post office. Second - I was astonished at the quality of the workmanship and the clear instructions. I went slowly and methodically, following the instructions to the letter, and had no problems at all. Took two or three hours. (Had to laugh at the guy who complained about things that went wrong - clearly he doesn't believe in reading or following instructions.) Third - I screwed in everything by hand until I got to the end. Then it was much easier to use an electric screwdriver to put the final screws in the drawers. Fourth - inserting drawers. I was a bit worried because I had a few problems inserting them, but I soon realized that was just my mistake. If you roll them in carefully, they go in perfectly. I think it's possible that the company has corrected mistakes that it made in the past because it was beautifully packaged with no damage at all and almost the perfect number of screws. I had three left over. There was a slight odour, but not unpleasant. Companies that do this quality of work need to be rewarded, so I recommend reading comments carefully and buying only from companies with excellent reviews. The final piece is beautiful and sturdy, and the handles are high quality. I'm delighted with it and can't wait to use it. At some point I may paint the drawers.

Absolutely love this. Excellent quality. Easy to assemble. I placed this in my front entrance because there's always a lot of little things left at the front door (keys, hats, masks, scarves, wallets, etc.) So this is a great little "hide the junk" piece :) I put some antique-y drawer pulls on them = elegant!

When I received my package I have to admit, it was much heavier then I expected. (I felt sorry for the postman/woman). However, I thought this was a good sign as far as quality goes. Upon opening it I was overwhelmed with pieces and parts. It took me about 2 hours to assemble. My cats and dog had a hay day with all the cardboard and plastic wrap everywhere. I really took my time and made sure not to miss any pieces even though at the end of the day I had a few left over screws.. hope I didn't need those.... Anyways, the instructions were in my opinion very good. They are detailed and you may have to read them once or twice but if you follow closely you will do fine. If you are not the kind of person who likes to assemble furniture and you don't have a handy hubby in your life I would not buy this. There is quite a bit of assembly required here. I love this dresser and Amazon had the best price. It is a bright white color, and the quality of the hardware is great. I sometimes find the drawers to be a little unsturdy when you have loads of underwear or what ever in them and the drawers almost fall out when you pull them out to grab something, however I haven't found a good dresser that doesn't have that fault. Maybe its just me.
