FishPod 5X Bluetooth Fish Finder with AI Technology

I bought this for my husband, who loves fishing and gear. And more gear. And still more gear. He loves his toys! We took it out yesterday for the first time and were both amazed. It took almost no time to install and activate. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and was easy to operate. The screens are easy to read and have so many options. It tracks the water depth, temperature and will even tell you how fast the current is moving. There weren't many fish out and about, but this unit did see the ones we were looking for. It's an awesome, low cost and low maintenance option. We're taking it out to deeper water this week on the boat and have high expectations, given its stellar performance yesterday. It really did surprise us! You won't find a better fish finder for this price.

So far so good. I used it twice. It was pretty accurate. I tried it in a pond I already knew the depth in different spots up to it's max 20ft spot. Look forward to using it in the unknown!

Used it for the first time over fathers day weekend and it performed flawlessly! I charged it fully before our trip and didn't need to charge it again. The app is free and super simple to run. Bluetooth connection worked great even casting it further out to 30'+. Depth accuracy was spot on as well down to 3-4ft. Took it on the boat and it read the same depth, temp and fish the lowrance did. Kids used it to find schools of crappie from their paddleboards and absolutely slayed em! Haha Couldn't give it 5 stars due to the plastic ear you secure the line to. Id like to see it a little beefier. Other than that I'm extremely pleased with it. Opted to go with the fishpod instead of the fishtrax because my phone screen is larger and easier to see in direct sunlight.

The FishPod 5X Bluetooth fish finder is a game changer! I have tried others in the past but this Bluetooth on my smartphone is the easiest to use and find fish, depth, water temps all in a simple cast and catch way. We have also used it off the edge of the boat with an eyebolt and teathered rope with great results!

It is a sophisticated device in a sensible design- a bobber! Just make sure you have at least 10 lb. test line if you want to cast it out far! It has a good mass to it, and it floats like a bobber. You can also just drop it over the side to scan immediately below. In my case, I wasn't using it for fishing. I was getting a basic look at the bottom of an old swimming hole near us, looking for signs of hazardous objects in the water! Underwater fishing cameras don't work well in water that is not clear. It is not a substitute for a diver inspection. There were some curious graphics I determined were bottom muck and weeds. I did not use it for fish finding though, I just think it is a great product, and I find young people are fascinated by it. It can serve as an educational tool that is fun.

Don't waste your money, I ordered 2 and neither would ever connect to any phones. I spent way to much time trying to get them working. Should have gone with the garmin striker.

Works well, only used for a short period, because the rental boat had a better than expected sonar. I liked the threaded insert so I could rig up a clamp to attach it to a boat, just can’t putt the transducer too deep in the water, apparently Bluetooth doesn’t pass through water too well. Great value, it would have been nice to use with a tablet, bigger screen.

Battery doesn't last very long and it seems to only charge to 80-85%. Thinking of returning it to amazon.
