Great little/medium back pack
Edited August 12 2015 - it's nice when people come back to their reviews! Still love it. After countless office days, customer visits, airports security controls, trips to beaches, forests (yep, go figure), boats and whatever else abuse I've manage to through at it, still going strong. I had one small pierce (for insisting to close with something to big and sharp inside) and one zipper on the side pocket coming out (again my own doing, I am not careful with stuff). Original November 8 2012 I looked for a long time for a well sized and smart looking back pack for using on business trips. If you don't have patience for a long review stick to the five topics. If you want to know why they were graded as they were, keep on scrolling. Overall, love it. Well recommended. Space 4/5 Protection for Laptop: 5/5 Built Quality: 5/5 Comfort 5/5 Style - subjective, not grading. >>> Space 4/5 Pros: I have a Quick Silver back pack that I cherish and love, but the thing is huge, I mean turtle looking thing when on your back. For that reason I was looking for something smaller but with enough space for a 14" laptop, a SRL camera, my A4 note book and general bits and bobs. The Case Logic accommodates all that just fine. Yes, it fills it up nearly to its maximum capacity, but you can handle everything with ease without having to squeeze things in. The side pockets are particularly nice in this bag. They are very important for me as I like to keep a few things always handy such as my keys, cigarettes (I know, I know, leave me alone) and iPod. The zippers are upside down, in other words they open towards the bottom, what makes very easy and comfortable to reach for the pockets with the both straps over your shoulders. Not a con not a pro: Note that the side pockets will welcome a bottle/thermal mug without any problem, unless the thing is fully packed. The side covers are not elastic and therefore these pockets take some of the internal space when full. Not to worry but to be noted. Cons: The only thing to fault on the space section is that I would like to have a few more internal sections for things like USB sticks, cables, business cards, etc. The outer section has slots for 3 pens, a zipped pouch and two pockets that will fit a classic iPod size thing/external hard drive. For me that's not quite enough as I have to carry my bank password generator, business cards and a WD Passport external hard drive. So my bank generator and business cards share a pocket - not ideal. Not a deal breaker either. ______________________________ >>> Protection for Laptop: 5/5 The padded part for the laptop is big enough for my TravelMate 6292 and iPad with plenty of room left. Regarding bottom padding is more than sufficient to protect everything if your sensible enough to not just drop it from your shoulder onto the floor. I am a very clumsy fellow and had no problems so far. No cons in here. ______________________________ >>> Built Quality: 5/5 Pros. The thing feels and looks sturdy and strong. The material used has a nice enough touch feel and everything seems to be sewed together in a proper manner. The internal linen is quite nice and on a light grey colour which helps find the tiny little stuff. No cons. ______________________________ >>> Style - subjective, not grading. I really like how it looks. As I said in the beginning the main purpose was to use it for business even when visiting customers. It looks serious enough to pass as an executive back pack, and smart enough not to bore you to death like a Samsonite. ______________________________ >>> Comfort 5/5 Pros. The straps connect on the top which spreads the load nicely over your shoulders and back. They are also quite broad helping in the same way. It's quite light so it won't add to your load. No cons.

9 years and still going strong!
I've used this back pack for over 9 years and it’s still in great condition, it has travelled all over the world with me as well as daily trips to work. It has withstood 40+ degrees to -14 degrees celsius. Comfortably fits a 16in laptop, as well as any accessories. You can also pack clothing if you're inclined to, however it should be packed appropriately to maximise the space. I've managed to pack a weekends worth of clothes (excluding laptop). The separate sections are ideal for travellers and easy access to the essentials. The top zipper part I would say is good for holding headphones, cables, coins and a number of small accessories etc but I wouldn't say it could fit a normal sized pair of sunglasses as the image denotes. Its water resistant to an extent, having been caught in the rain a few times, I've been lucky that the contents have remained dry although you can feel the fabric getting somewhat damp. To date the straps and edges have not frayed to extent I'd expect, given what I've put it through unlike other brands. Hoping for another decade of good use from this trusty backpack! Thanks case logic! UPDATE: At the 10 year mark, the black fabric is becoming visibly thinner and see through in places, resulting in being less water / splash proof than it used to be. Think it’s finally time to look at a replacement. Regardless it has served its purpose well and id still highly recommend it!

Excellent rucksack for laptops and documents!
Very robust. Made very well. Big zips for the main compartment, making finding the zips a bit easier! A good amount of internal pockets for pens, hard drives etc. Nice design. Shoulder straps have a good design and feel and do not slid eoff the shoulder like a lot of rucksacks do. Large enough for a 15 inch laptop with a few centimetres to spare. Good amount of protection for items in the rucksack. First time buying a Case Logic product and would buy again. Although judging by the quality of build, I think this will last quite a while!

Great bag, lightweight with lots of pockets
Upon opening the box I thought the bag looked very small in comparison to the Dell bag it was replacing. Looks can be deceiving, the Dell was heavily padded out and heavy in comparison to the case logic. I decanted my laptop, charger, pens and other junk including my lunch and kindle and there is still room for my macbook which is great. The other thing is how light it is compared to my old bag. That along with the configuration of the straps make it soo much easier to carry around. The only gripe I have is that my laptop is quite big and just fits under the flap where the zip comes round (picture to illustrate) and a velcro strap would help keep the laptop from being in the way each time you close. If it had the velcro strap, it would be full marks. Great bag, highly recommended.

Great backpack
I've had the backpack for a month or so now, and I must say that it is very good, it is made from high quality material, there is plenty of padding in the laptop compartment, there is a big zip for the main compartment which feels like it will hold up very well. It is also very comfortable to wear. I do however I think there could be more pockets, as it would be nice to have more places to organise my stuff. Overall I would definitely recommend this bag, it met all my expectations. UPDATE: I have had it for over a year now, and I have abused the hell out of it. I carry 3 FULL ring binders every day for school, paper, textbooks and other misclaneous items. As of this moment in time, the backpack has absolutely no signs of wear.

Excellent bag, great value
Really nice backpack and super value. This is my second Case Logic bag, the first and smaller one still going strong after being taken everywhere for years. This one is very roomy, my 15" laptop has room to spare. Plus space for books, snacks, washbag etc. Can't do better I don't think.

Too big
Cool, but far too big for my tap top, measuring 16 inched diagonally - this is how laptops are meant to be measured - not sure how Case Logic measure theirs.

Imbottita abbondantemente in ogni lato. Consigliato!

I was looking for a bag that could fit my 15.6" laptop and a few other everyday items comfortably. Since I take public transit to work every day I didn't want a bag that was too big or bulky and could just fit essential items -- laptop, charger/cables, lunch, my kindle, and a notebook. This bag fits my needs perfectly. It appears to be well made and light-weight. I have only been consistently using it for a few weeks now, but I do not foresee any issues in terms of rips or zipper breaks. My back has never felt stressed by using this backpack and it rests comfortably when worn. The bag also has a nice look to it that is both casual but also allows it to pass in a professional way in which most backpacks could not. The main compartment has ample space for a laptop and a notebook while the front smaller pocket has been perfect for putting my lunch in. I don't really use the small accessory pocket on the top, but it has been a nice place to store my phone charger and phone on the off chance I don't have it in my pocket. The side pockets also provide additional space and are decent for fitting a standard size water or soda bottle. My two complaints: The side pockets work well for most items, but I wish that one of them were a little bigger or perhaps the mesh material that some backpacks have on the side. I haven't even tried bringing in my large Nalgene Water Bottle because I know there is no way it will fit in the side pocket. The top handle also seems to hold the weight awkwardly. I think the handle is more attached to the straps than to the actual bag so that when you grasp it, the weight falls down and forward rather than being squarely and securely in the middle. This may help the backpacks low profile and keep it feeling slimmer so it is not a huge complaint, but just something of note. For the price of ~$30 this backpack is a steal for anyone who wants to carry everyday essentials without excessive bulk. Pros: Well constructed Low profile, medium-sized, not too bulky Light-weight, comfortable Price Lots of pockets for organization Stylish Cons: Side pockets bad for larger water bottles Top handle seems to hold weight awkwardly Could be too small for some Overall, this backpack suits my everyday needs perfectly and is well worth the $32.44 I spent on it. Students or people who need extra amounts of space for textbooks or other materials should look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a medium-sized bag to fit everyday essentials, look no further. The cons to the pack are trivial enough to me that I do not hesitate from giving it 5 stars.
