The affordable vitamin C that doesn't bother my stomach!

I have used Ester C for many years and I love it for the ability to not upset my stomach, but give me the daily does of Vitamin C I like to take. Caution- these pills are very large so if you have issues with swallowing larger pills, this is not the one for you, stick to the 500mg tablets.

This is the best Vitamin C tablet out there. To the people who whine about the size of the vitamin GIVE ME A BREAK, cut the darn vitamin in half, it is one of the highest rated based on quality, no stomach issues,consistency etc... Simple resolution to a simple issue.

I am 72 years old and have had sharp pains in my knees for quite a few years when going down stairs, and lately have been developing some of the pains of developing arthritis. My friend suggested taking 2000 MG of this supplement for 10 days and then 1500 MG after that. So, I decided to take her advice and try it. I swear, after the 10 days, there was no more pain in my knees. One night I took a full 2-gallon watering can and a 1 gallon bottle of water downstairs at the same time and held on to the railings anticipating pains in my knees - there was no pain!! Since then, there has been no pain in my knees and they feel stronger. I later found out with some research that Ester-C helps to build joint tissue and can help to reduce the pain of arthritis. This seems to hold true since the stiffness in my finger has lessened since I have started using this supplement. I take a few supplements, but I have honestly not come across any other supplement that showed any results so quickly. I am a believer in this one, and it is good for much more than the immune system. The only downside I can think of is the size of the pill. It's huge, and it sometimes takes me a couple of tries to swallow it. I am also giving this supplement to my 98-year-old mother, but for her, we crush it and add it to her supplement cocktail. UPDATE 11/24/18: I have been taking Ester-C for 2 months, and the pain in my knees is completely gone as well as the shakiness I used to have in my knees when I went down stairs. I have also noticed that my finger joints are no longer locked when I get up in the morning, and the sharp pains I had in one of my fingers has not been happening. I can't say that this supplement helps with arthritis, but I have definitely had some improvement with joint pain and locking of finger joints. UPDATE 10/18/19: I have been taking Ester-C for a little over a year, and the benefits described above are still evident. Although i still use this supplement for my 99 year old mother who gets it pulverized in a vitamin supplement, I had a hard time swallowing the huge pills. So, I found another brand that still provides 1000 mg but in a capsule. The capsule works as well for me, but I don't gag trying to swallow it. I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update the review if my opinion changes.

Everytime I feel like I’m getting sick or feeling a cold coming on, I take one of these and my symptoms are gone by next morning. This has worked EVERY single time I’ve used it for years. However it is a pretty big pill so its hard to swallow and doesn’t taste the best. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Miracle Vitamin C!!

I can't say how well they work. But they don't taste like vitamin c, that doesn't mean they're not, it just doesn't taste like it. They don't have any smell. They does taste sweet at all and there doesn't appear to be any sugar in them. It says take with a meal so I assume it could cause stomach upset. But the pills are so big. It is really hard to swallow them. I broke it in half and tried to swallow it and couldn't do it. And I can take several pills at one time when I take my vitamins in the morning. So that's saying something. I believe they can be chewed and so that's what I'm going to do from now on. They don't taste good but they don't taste. Absolutely horrible and they don't burn your mouth or anything.

I had the stomach surgery and it is non acidic and it helps especially since I have a history of ulcers and anything I can do to help is better than taking a cheaper generic brand of vitamin C. Its smooth to take and it works. Also a tip that I found which is irrelivent but it works for me. I get cold sores. But I don't have break outs any more and don't get them as I use to ALL the time. Maybe once every 3 years. When I feel one coming on. That tingling feeling. Take 1000 mg vitamin C in morning 1 1000mg Lysine and at night take 1000 mg of vitamin C and 1000mg Lysine. I know its a lot. Your body will extract it (don't forget to drink water) and watch youll feel the tingle a bit might see a bit red in the spot the soar will come out but it will never FULLY come out and show the world look at my face. It really works. I got other remedies that works great. Home remedies that I have tried on my own. I passed this to a friend of mine and tried it and couldn't believe it worked. Always keep vitamin c and Lysine on hand. Youll notice in the vitamin aisle lysine is always empty. Ask yourself why......maybe they know the trick. But it works. I tried all the other remedies. This one really works. My mom suffers from them a lot and does this and never has a break out. Especially in the line of work she don't want it to show. But this vitamin C is good for your stomach and dissolves fast. My levels (blood) always come back good. SO yes its worth it. I use to buy at Costco a BIGGER bottle cheaper price but they will not carry no more. So this is the best price I found on the net. :) Hope this helps.
