Having not purchased a tempered glass screen protector previously, I cannot comment on the value of the various items, but I'm very pleased with this purchase. I took the advice of placing the item in position with the plastic protector side down; then applying two strips of masking tape between the glass protector and the top/back of the tablet to form a hinge - a procedure that can be found on YouTube. So much difference between this and the cheaper plastic ones. Easy to apply, I had 2 attempts with mine and taking it off due to a slight misalignment and reapply was easy enough. It is slightly thicker than the other typed of protector and is raised a bit higher than the home button but makes no difference to its operation. Has holes perfectly cut for camera and sensor. Comes with wet and dry wipes for preparing cleaning of the screen, and also an anti static sticky strip for removal of those bits of dust that annoyingly fall on the screen after its been cleaned.
