Review: A good quality long lasting kitchen counter bin - This Brabantia bin is a simple, good quality and robust design. I haven't got room for a large bin in my kitchen but this one is a good compromise being a reasonable size that fits on the kitchen counter. I use mine for general kitchen waste but it would also work well as a recycling bin. The bin has a decent carrying handle and well-fitting hinged lid. It is designed to work best with Brabantia's own brand of bin liners and although those are more expensive than supermarket brands, they are definitely great quality. These are strong, have a tie handle, fit snuggly and give the bin a tidy appearance. The bin keeps pretty clean when using the matching bin liners but is also easy to wash and dry if needed. The liners can be got at a reasonable price if you buy in bulk but you can use supermarket brands instead albeit with some loss of quality. This bin is good quality and well-suited to my needs. It's not the cheapest price but it has lasted four years so far with no signs of wear and tear. I'm pleased with this purchase. This size is quite compact so we empty quite frequently in a 2 person household, but the next size up takes up too much space on the worktop as it is long front to back rather than wide.
