Essential for stopping rust in its tracks!
Bought this to treat a bad patch of blistering rust on the lower panel of my washing machine. After sanding down the loose paint, I brushed this on and within 10–15 minutes it reacted completely, turning the remaining rust into a solid, dark blue-black sealed surface. It dried quickly and created the perfect stable base for primer. A little goes a very long way. Highly recommended for any metal appliance or DIY restoration project!

A little goes a long way
Worked like a dream. quick and easy to apply and neutralised the rust on my tow bar brackets. A little goes a long way so don't dispense much at a time. It's also a watery liquid and drips easily, start from the top and word down using the running liquid as you go. It turned the metalwork blight blue before drying to a black finish ready for painting.

Great for rust

Cost? check size. But good stuff.
Now don't get me wrong this is a brilliant product and the original item I had lasted for years. This arrived and thinking I'd got it for a good price realised it is only 90ml. Tiny compared to what I thought I was buying. See photo. Maybe another case of shrinkflation!. So long a I don't lose the smaller bottle (bit small to find maybe) it should last years of use. The last time I used this was for metal garden stakes. The bottom, no doubt painted well, will get paint damaged when pushed into soil and thus will over time rust. I regularly give these a thin surface coat which from pink changes to black to match the metal stakes. Excellent stuff ... Other sizes are available.

Easy to use and effective
Kurust has been available for years. It has lasted the test of time because it is easy to use, works visibly and quickly and you can overpaint it in 3 hours. I've tried all the various rust cures. Some are fussy, some work over 24 hours, some require rinsing off, some are slow and some don't do much at all. I've not found anything better than this one. You do need to overpaint it when cured and Hammerite paint is probably the best to use.

Does the job
It works but does remove the black coating that is on the jaws of pliers. It is also pretty messy as it is more liquid than gel, or mine was. Fortunately I had put down paper to work over so it was an easy clean up. It says to leave for 15 minutes but also to wash off immediately so that was somewhat confusing.
