BBC earth makes the best nature documentaries I recommend anything BBC Earth!

Very impressive. You see the beauty of “Frozen” Nature, but also what climate change do to nature.

Every documentary Sir David Attenborough has ever done is the BEST. I think I've got everything he's ever done, yet I'm still on the lookout for something I've missed. I especially like watching his DVDs at bedtime. It feels like a dear friend is reading me a bedtime story.

For those who like this genre, you have to get it

Outstanding

This sequel is better than the first. It concentrates on other polar regions of the earth, were the original series only focused on Antarctica and the Arctic. Interesting scenes include how wolves can bring down a full grown oxen and how killer whales hunt. Very interesting and definately worth getting on DVD. Alan Palmer New Zealand.

It's an Attenborough nature show. You know what you'll be getting. It goes without saying that the footage captured is stunning almost beyond belief in many cases. I can only imagine the thrill the photographers and researchers experienced when they were able to document some of the moments shown. Yes it's violent in places, just like nature really is. There are just as many examples of failed hunts as successful ones, of baby animals overcoming the odds and surviving as not. I would've liked to see more stories about plant life and the less "spectacular" animals. Bears, seals, penguins, walruses, narwhals, etc. have been done to death. I'm sure by now, though, you're also aware of just how many times you'll be chastised over and over and over about climate change and how "we" have to do something and how bad it's already gotten. The show cannot go 20 minutes without another bludgeoning. Walruses lying pink on the shore from laying in the sun? Well they're pinker now because of CC. Polar bears having to squabble over a walrus kill? Well they're squabbling more now because of CC. Cute baby seals left by mom to survive on their own? Well most in some places won't now because of CC. The west is doing what it can and making rapid progress in cutting emissions. Other countries on this planet are not. Neither are ever directly admitted to or chastised by these sorts of programs. Until that changes, the nattering will, for me, continue to be nothing more than an annoyance.

This was a beautiful in many ways and informative series on different areas of our planet, the wildlife and their struggles to survive and ways their habitat is being destroyed. Well worth the money. Sad to think if they make another one David Attenborough won't be around to narrate it. I love his documentaries.

this is undeniably a perfect 5 out of 5 masterpiece. Both 4K & HD versions of Frozen Planet 2 are overwhelmingly stunning in beauty and awesomeness. Clearly showing the wondrous, marvellous splendors of our beautiful planet. One to be truely cherished and protected in every way. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is of course powerful and enveloping, adding a sense of great realism to it all. This really is a triumph and crowning achievement for BBC Earth. I am most eagerly looking foreward to many other BBC Earth documentary films in 4K Ultra HD, hopefully coming soon.
