Is this stuff removable? say if i wanted to secure a headlight cap down and i wanted to change the bulb i could scrap it off the sides and remove cap?

It is what we call in construction to be a semi-permanent bond. And NO there is NO SOLVENT designed to remove silicone rubber. If you were to use it as a 'glue' between surfaces, it could be difficult to remove but it is possible. If it's used as a caulk to fill small gaps it'll remove easier. It holds semi porous semi smooth surfaces together best. It has little penetrating capability so it's bonding is considered to be of the sealing nature. Hope this helped.

Does the unpleasant odor remain after the sealant dries?

That odor is acetic acid released during curing. Google it for more information. I used this product to correct a leak in the high-mount brake light on my pickup truck (curse you, Ford). I could smell it from several feet away, and it lingered in the cab a few days, too. Familiar (though not pleasantly so) as "stop bath" if you've ever processed film or prints.

Has anyone used this to repair dishwasher racks? To prevent rust?

Yes.If you are repairing a place on the rack where rust has already started, the rust must be removed and/or neutralized before silicone is applied. This likely will require some of the plastic next to the rusted area be cut back since the rust usually will go back under where you can't see it. Once the area has been prepared, smooth it on liberally with a popsickle stick, making sure the area overlaps the area that was not affected. Let it cure a full 24 hours before using the dishwasher.

Is it possible to fix silicon arch in Sandals / Shoes with the help of this adhesive ?

I believe so. The weatherproof material I initially used it for is probably just as non-porous as silicone. I've also glued my crocs sandal soles back on & they've stayed on since. It's been 4 months. But that's more like rubber.

Excellent sealant for small repairs — clean to use and totally waterproof

I needed a strong adhesive sealant to re-fit a part on my carbon fibre golf trolley after some maintenance. This worked perfectly. It wasn’t messy to apply, it set cleanly, and it sealed and bonded exactly as I needed. Most importantly for me — I play a lot in the rain — it has held up totally waterproof. Really impressed with this for small outdoor repairs.

Works for me

Used this to stick a waterproof LED strip/tape to painted wood. When the LED strip arrived I discovered it was encapsulated in a soft silicone type tube. I thought nothing was going to stick that but someone recommended this and a test showed it worked well. Very happy.

Works well on stained glass pieces
