NC3 Miata
I got these to replace the rear (between the headrest) speakers in my Miata (NC3, hardtop, non-bose with Sony head unit swap). Installation was not difficult BUT they are not plug and play. You will have to drill a couple mounting holes in the speaker brackets and figure out wiring. I re-used the factory speaker wires without the capacitors and soldered directly to the speakers. Grey to negative, blue to positive. I did not use the included crossovers. I have already replaced the head unit and JBL door speakers, but found the sound to be muddy and hard to adjust. The sound stage was just wrong. I also wanted to be able to hear the radio clearly at lower volumes. These worked! The speaker itself has a fully encolosed basket creating it's own enclosure, which is why it works in this location. Is it audiophile quality or competition worthy, probably not but I think it sounds great. If you are looking for something similar, I strongly suggest these.

Its a great product but these were in used condition even though they were sold as new. I returned them.

The speakers are nice but can’t handle the lower frequencies with raw bass. They will distort and sound like they are blown.
