Denver DMP-391 Personal CD Player Discman With MP3 / Audio Book Support, 40 Second Antishock, Resume/Last Played Memory, Portable CD Player With Bass Boost

I've been using my player for just over a year, since an unexpected event took away a lot of my vision and reading printed books became difficult. The player has been absolutely reliable and has been a "God-send". Easy to use with just a couple of things to note; the volume has to be reset each time the player is turned on - even when halted to insert a new disc, and after pressing the "play" button it takes probably 10/15 seconds for the audio to come on stream. ( If you just pause play the volume remains as set and the audio is there on pressing play again.) Book marking works OK if you need to skip back or forward. I use high capacity rechargeable AA batteries and they give good playing time. Wouldn't want to be without my player now. Heartily recommended.

I really like this product which I use with ear phones to listen to audio books whilst doing my cleaning work. It really does keep stable sound if it gets jolted whilst I'm active and the sound has good clarity for me. The reason I've given 4 stars is because after every disc change - or if its switched off, the volume has to be reset again which is quite frustrating and which I've never experienced with other cd players..... However, the memory function is excellent and restarts the audio book just where it was stopped.

Cd player is great and compactness is good good value for money battery life is good ease of use is good and speed is ok

I bought this for my mums Christmas present and she has persevered with it for 2 months now. She has gone through 6 batteries in 2 months. She has to write down where she is because it is temperamental whether it starts where she left off. Several times it has taken her back to the start for no apparent reason. She used it today and it made a high pitched sound then stopped working. Having persevered for so long with it we decided to return it however I have apparently missed the return deadline despite the fact that the product is faulty! Very disappointed with this product and feel very sorry for my mum who has tried so hard to make this work.

This Discman Is value for money and works well. The resume function is particularly useful to me because I listen to recorded books. The only drawback is the low volume. It is adequate when there isn’t much background noise but I cannot use it when I’m at the gym or even in the kitchen when the kettle is boiling. This is a pity because it is otherwise a very good player.

I am really pleased with this CD player. It replaces the Sony CD Walkman that I had for years which finally gave up the ghost on me. I had great difficulty trying to find a replacement but fortunately, I found this one! I really needed to have a player that would remember where I had left off as I have the Bible on CD and I needed to get back to the next chapter without going through about 20 to get to the right one.I noted on other reviews that the sound quality wasn't great or loud enough. I have no problems with this but I don't use the earphones that came with it as the buds were too big for my ear canals so I use my good quality earphones with the player.I highly recommend this CD player...

My main concern is apart from very small buttons, I can cope with that when used to them, is that the batteries don't last so long as my old cassette. However, the product itself is well made. . I have now been using this for a while and have had many problems. It does not always save it where you set it to, and sometimes goes dead. What I am puzzled that it refuses to use recycled brand new duracel recharge batteries, very disappointed now and would not buy again.

Purchased to use solely with talking books. Very good product with good sound quality

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Geschenk für meine Schwiegermutter, da ihr guter alter Disman defekt gegangen ist!Nun habe ich diese Gerät gefunden und auch gleich bestellt. Das gerät kam gut verpackt an, auch vom Hersteller.Batterie rein, Kopfhörer angeschlossen und schon konnte es los gehen.Das Gerät funktioniert wirklich sehr gut. Leider hat er nur keine Mp3 Funktion.Ich würde Ihnen für alle die weiter empfehlen die Ihre CD's weiterhin unterwegs hören möchten!

Funciona bien y tiene un buen sonido, por lo que estoy contenta con la compra.Al ser ligero y de tamaño reducido, lo puedo llevar en mi bolso y escuchar música o CDs cuando voy de paseo por la calle o cuando voy en el bus.
