Dual Flame, Zero Shame—This Torch Lights Up My Rituals
This little beast earned its spot in my gear lineup. Whether I’m caramelizing crème brûlée, sealing paracord ends, or firing up a wood stove in the wild, the RAVS torch delivers clean, consistent flame with zero fuss. The dual flame mode is a game-changer. I can go precision mode for delicate work or crank it up when I need serious heat. The ignition is reliable, the build feels solid, and the refill port hasn’t given me any grief. Just remember: butane is not included—so plan ahead unless you enjoy staring at a very fancy paperweight. I’ve used it in the kitchen, on the patio, and during a camping prep session where it doubled as a firestarter and a conversation piece. It’s compact, powerful, and surprisingly versatile. If you’re building a ritual around fire—be it food, gear, or just lighting candles with flair—this torch earns its flame.

Perfect for Cigars.
This torch is perfect for lighting cigars. The flame this torch provides is precise, burns hotter, and is instantly adjustable which makes it perfect for toasting the foot, lighting, and trimming. Due to the nature of the flame, all of these processes are much faster than with any regular pocketable torch lighter. Toasting: As the flame is precise and can be dialed down, toasting evenly happens quickly without seeming to carry too much heat into the body of the cigar. Lighting/Relighting: The side of the narrow flame burns as equally hot, so quickly gets this done. No real amount of contact is necessary. So you can light a cigar without pointing the flame directly at your face. Trimming: As the flame is narrow and very hot it cuts better and much more precisely than regular lighters in my experience. With the point of the flame, you can quickly cut through wrapper, binder, and fillers with ease; unlike a regular lighter which seems to burn with less heat and can scorch the binder more easily beyond where you would prefer. Trimming is much faster and cleaner with this torch. Filling: Messy. When it's full it sprays Butane all over the place. That's how you know it's full. I have two of these and they both do the same thing. It works so well for my application that I have made my peace with the messy filling issue. Adjustability: Perfect for the application. It puts out a small flame - smaller than pocket lighters - to a flame about two inches long. Softer flame (think Bic), to pinpoint savagery (which works great for cigars) and any mixture of the two by dialing the little black air regulator held in place by the spring on the barrel. Drawbacks: Filling, Messy. No window to gauge fuel, though this will light a lot of sticks... A LOT on a single fill. Not pocketable, but perfect to sit next to your favorite chair. I occasionally move the flame adjustment regulator, or it's moving by itself with use. But if the flame isn't burning like it used to, check that little black collet because it may have moved restricting air into the mix. Ease of use: Both of mine work flawlessly. After a while, I found I could turn the regulator on and off with my thumb and ignite the flame with one hand. The always-on feature until you turn it off, which I thought was going to be an issue, isn't. For the application of lighting cigars, it works better for me because I don't need to keep my thumb depressed as you do with a regular lighter and I can adjust the flame size on the fly with the use of my thumb. Besides its drawbacks, it's still a five-star lighter for the application I use it for. I certainly recommend it.

Nice, high quality little torch.
AWESOME! If you solder or do any type of electronic work like I do, this little torch will become invaluable to you. The main reason for writing this review is that I’ve even through no less than 5 different versions of “mini torch’s” as there are so many listed for sale on here. I can tell you that this is hands down the highest quality of all. It’s very well made, has a nice adjustable pinpoint flame, is easy to fill and feels good in the hand. Very nice quality all around. It’s really easy to use, just fill it up, turn the dial and push the button!

Handy kitchen torch — good value with a few small flaws
I picked up the RAVS Butane Torch Lighter, DUAL Flame Mode Cooking Torch for kitchen use and I’m pretty happy with how it performs. It lights quickly and reliably, and the dual-flame modes (single and dual jet) give enough control for broiling, caramelizing, or searing. The refillable butane setup is convenient and the torch feels sturdy in hand. My only minor gripe: the fuel reservoir is a bit small — so I find myself refilling more often than I’d like if I’m using it a lot. Also, while the flame adjustment works fine, the built-in safety lock can be a little finicky when adjusting flame strength. Overall: a useful, affordable torch for home cooking, baking, or light DIY — just don’t expect professional-grade performance.

Perfect torch for my bee smoker
Use this to light up wood shavings for my bee smoker — works like a charm every time. Solid build, easy ignition, and the flame is hot as hell. No more fighting with matches or cheap lighters. Way better than a regular lighter — this thing actually holds up in the wind and gets the smoker going in seconds. The flame is focused, strong, and super consistent, even when tilted or used outside. Stands upright, looks clean, and just does the job without any fuss. If you need reliable fire power for beekeeping or anything else, this one’s it.

One of my TOP 5 FAV purchases from Amazon!
Wow! High quality, easy to fill. Adjustable flame is fantastic! Best part? The safety device to prevent young kiddos from experimenting with it! Just don’t let them see you unlock it. Immediately bought a second for the workshop!
