They are made of 100% cotton. I personally bleach these sheets over and over. I own a luxury vacation rental company. I have 2 cabins with 25 beds combined and I have 75 sets of these sheets in varying sizes, all in white. I use bleach for obvious sanitary reasons and to keep the sheets bright white. I have used these sheets exclusively for the last 5 years and despite hundreds of washes each, they remain soft and as white as the day I took them out of the box. I can place a brand new out of the box set next to a used just laundered set that has been bleached 50 times and you cannot tell the difference between the new and the used set. Just don’t ever make the mistake of washing anything else with these sheets-I mean nothing else but the sheets and accompanying pillow cases. Other items (socks, shirts, towels, etc) can contain a mix of other fabrics like polyester, spandex, etc and when bleached in the same load as the 100% cotton sheets, can affect on the brightness. Just my recommendation and is according to my experience with these sheets. I receive publicly posted reviews on popular vacation rental sites raving about my bedding and I sleep on these sheets myself at home. Want an added touch of luxurious softness? And Then Some *by C***G on January 8, 2025* I am very particular about bedding. I almost always choose bamboo over any other fabric for its cooling properties (and my bamboo sheets last longer than the Target cotton sheets I used for years). But I chose these pillowcases solely because they were the closest match I could find to the color of the lampshade on my guest bedroom side table. I also needed a color that would complement the other two pillowcases on my guest bed (the ones that came with and match the sheet set). It's so difficult to tell about color when ordering something off a picture on a computer screen, but these were spot on. I'm thrilled with the color, but the unexpected bonus is the very high quality. These pillowcases are thick and ample for my down pillows. The stitching and hemming are heads above anything I've bought recently. So many companies try to emulate the pillow pocket design of pricier sheets, but it is usually poorly executed (and stands out visually as an oddity). A good pillowcase will contain the pillow without this, I find. This hem is attractive (has the quarter inch trim above the hem of the opening all the way around, so there's no wrong or right side to the pillowcase). I checked both pillowcases after I washed and dried them; there's no shrinking or warping of the side seams (and not pre-shrinking fabric to stabilize it before it's used to make sheets, pillowcases, cloth napkins, etc., seems to be the new shortcut in manufacturing of too many home goods ). Surprisingly, I didn't find a single thread on the right side of the pillowcase (popping out at the seam, which is just typical these days). There is no excessive wrinkling (but all 100% cotton is going to wrinkle a bit. But it's totally presentable straight from the dryer. I liked these pillowcases so much, that I looked at the company's sheets sets and picked out a set to buy for my guest bed when I need to replace them (because they are starting to show their age).
