This thing does not slip
Had I bought this ruler years ago, I likely would have saved myself from wasting fabric because the roller slipped. Not the Omnigrip! This thing stays put which makes cutting my fabric with a rotary cutter so much easier. I previously bought 2 of these in a different size and decided I needed the longer length. I have since ditched my of-brand rulers and Omnigrip is my go-to ruler now. It might cost a little more, but it’s worth every penny.

Still slips. There are some very, very, very tiny ridges on the bottom of the ruler that basically do nothing. Definitely not non slip and not worth the markup over the regular ruler. Otherwise, it works well. Clear, easy to read and the grid is very convenient.

There are rulers and there are rulers
These Quilters rulers really are useful. They make cutting fabric ( and paper) to a uniform size very simple and straightforward. The size of this one makes it perfect for cutting strips for log cabin or scrappy / strippy quilts, for cutting 2 1/2 inch squares and for quite simply using it as a long ruler. I have used it every day since I bought it.
