LONG READ BUT PLEASE READ IT ALL!!
My mom was on chemo and radiotherapy which left her with an infection from radiotherapy burns under her arm. Nothing was helping and she was put on antibiotics which didn't lift the infection. I purchased these after another patient recommended them to me for her to try. We washed under her arm where the burn was and put the silver dressing on and covered it with a large clean plaster to hold the silver dressings in place (They aren't adhesive). We followed instructions and left it on for around 2-3 days. By the time we removed them, her arm had practically healed and she no longer felt sore. They are tiny so if it's a bigger wound I recommend a bigger size. I highly recommend these for any wound that don't seem to heal.

A good product with excellent instructions
Arrived on time and well packaged. Instructions were straightforward and easy to implement. I was starting to get a recurrent leg ulcer ( last one was about 5 years ago) and I have used manuka honey and lint under a compression sock. There were positive reports on the internet ,indicating the positive effect of using a silver loaded dressing as wellso I thought that I would combine the two . This silver loaded dressing pulls cleanly away from the " wound " and it seems to be healing well. No infection occurringwhich is great. Only time will tell as most ulcers take well over 4 weeks to heal ( in my experience ).

Silver dressings are excellent if the wound is not infected.
I USED THIS PRODUCT for an ulcerated leg. it worked well at first but the silver dressing did not completely heal the ulcer because the ulcer was infected and needed antibiotics. I am taking the antibiotics now and hopefully it should heal. The silver dressing would have worked well if the leg had not been infected. IN fact the silver dressing was the best of many other dressings that were used. I hope this is useful information for you.

Rapid 2nd degree burn wound recovery
I burned myself on the middle of my shin on a grill handle baking pizzas at 220 degrees, a 3 inch long burn that was around an inch wide with deeper damage in the middle of the burn. I left it untreated that day and the next day it had swollen all around my shin (which is normal for 2nd degree burns apparently). I actually didnt really realise the extent of the burn, leaving the wound open, thinking it would just go away on its own over a few days. Anyway, I was completely wrong. A deep burn touches on the tissue and because all of the skin has been burned away there is nothing to cover the wound, first degree burns heal easily as the skin can grow back quickly however 2nd degree burns have damaged tissue which takes a long time to recover and grow back and those wounds also become infected, as I discovered around a week later of leaving the wound open. The first few days I applied ointment to the open wound due to the swelling which brought the swelling down, however the wound acquired an 'eschar' which was a browny green kind of covering which did not look healthy at all. I realised that the wound wasn't healing by itself after a week and was actually looking worse as the damaged tissue seemed to be enlargening with reddish liquid dripping in some places. SO that's when i ordered these silver dressings and applied them after wiping the wound with a 40% alcohol solution, I applied the dressing dry directly to the wound. I used an adhesive sterile wound dressing (a big plaster) on top to keep it in place. I changed the dressing every 2-3 days and did that cycle 3 times. I noticed a big difference after just 2,5 days when I removed the first dressing. The silver dressing had absorbed most of the nasty looking 'eschar', the silver dressing had also become quite moist, peeling it off revealing pink healthy looking tissue underneath it. Again I cleansed the wound in the solution and reapplied a new silver dressing and plaster. 3 days later I removed that and it looked like some layers of skin had started growing and the wound was not as deep as it was previous with a healthy reddish brown colour. Again, I cleansed and put a new dressing in place and when that was removed 3 days later the wound had basically healed to such an extend that I didnt use the silver dressing and just applied the adhesive plaster for a day or two and now I have taken that off and the wound has healed over with a light flakey scab. If I had applied the dressing straight away I likely would have halved the healing time.
